I have been using the services of Sarah Starr for over 10 years. Sally the owner had always gone above and beyond to accomodate my family. The quality of the work performed by her expert team is of the highest standard. I would recommend this business very highly.

I had a favourite dress virtually remade as it was too big for me. The garment was fully lined and needed extensive alteration. I an delighted with the result and feel like I now have a new dress! Beautiful work, professional and helpful staff. The cost was even $10 cheaper than the original quote. I will definitely use Sarah Starr Alterations again with confidence.

Most of my belly dancing costumes were fixed and adjusted at Sarah Starr Alterations with fantastic results! The dress makers were always very patient, very precise and accurate with their work and very knowledgeable about the requirements and qualities of different materials and ornamentation, and how they behave. I am very happy with the alterations service Susie provided for two floor length dresses I took to her. She was extremely professional and listened to my needs. I visited three times - once to have my dress hem measured, the second time to check whether i was happy and to verify to go ahead, and finally a speedy pick up of my hemmed dresses which were professionally pressed before I received them back. Susie is a true professional (with an interesting history in fashion design & literature) and it felt like i was visiting a friend during the three times i went.

Finally I was surprised and happy when I picked up my dresses and was told that the cost was under what was originally quoted. This is a honest and personalised customer service and I'll be back. Thanks Susie.

hands down, absolutely the best service and value. I had a very tricky bridesmaid dress that was about 4 sizes to big. they managed to bring in the dress without changing the style, fit it to my body perfectly, worked fittings around my schedule, and completed my dress on time and under the price estimated.

Sarah Starr's work has always been the best of quality for me, they are upfornt about costs, and have even told me that it cost less than expected! between the friendly staff, and amazing quality of tailor-ship, ive been here to have alterations on jeans, pants coats, and a tux! all turned out great!!!

I have had a few items of clothing ruined in the past by seamstresses...but I was referred to Sarah Starr by a friend and they did such a good job altering one of my favourite dresses!! I am so happy with the result and the dress now fits me perfectly... I highly recommend!!

I recently had a suit tailored to perfection. The job was so good that i regularly visit Sarah Starr to have my jeans or pants altered or patched. I have never had a problem with the quality of service. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, precise and timely. Susie did a very lovely job of adjusting the shoulders on a quality tailored jacket I picked up at the Sacred Heart Mission Op Shop. Her work matched the quality of the tailoring to a T. She' such a charming person and so helpful with her suggestions that I came back a few weeks later to size, cut and stitch noren-style curtains a la sliding screens to replace the 6 big clunky wardrobe doors. Another fine job by Susie.

The prices are fairly reasonable and the alterations are very good here. Normally they take about a week and I haven't had any issues with the quality of work.
