Sakura Lounge

Being a massage therapist myself, I am quite picky when it comes to the massage and day spa experience.
Sakura Lounge exceeded any expectations I had.
The massage was one of the best I have had. I enjoyed the genmai cha tea and little bun they served during the foot massage.
The value was excellent for a 2.5 hour spa package, and I will definitely return.
One oddity is that they will see you during pregnancy, but only from 14 weeks through to 32 weeks. I know many places refuse treatment in the first trimester, but I've never been somewhere that had such a random cutoff before.

Had a Shiatsu massage here and it was a really great experience. The room was nice and private, you are given clothes to change into, there is an electric blanket to keep you warm which is great in the middle of winter (downstairs only apparently), and most importantly, the therapist was just amazing. By the time you deduct the claim from private health insurance, it is a great bargain for the price. Their booking system can be a little flaky and should be improved, but overall good value for money.

I went with a friend to Sakura today. It has been the first time i have had a massage in a long while and all i can say is... wow. It was true bliss. These lovely Japanese women really know what they are doing and the prices i find are resonable. The place reflects a Japanese culture and is very peaceful, quiet with light music and candles. The hospitality is impeccable and very pleasant, always tending to your needs before and even after the massage. The massage (relaxation massage) itself was fantastic and heavenly applied with the pressure of your choice and very effective methods are used, some i have never experienced and absolutely loved. This place really knows how to treat there clients and show that caring for the body is an art they have successfully mastered. I highly recommend them and cannot wait for my next booking! I booked my husband and I a package at the Sakura Lounge on boxing day 2011. From the minute we walked in we were welcomed and taken great care of. A sense of tranquility overcomes you just sitting in the waiting area! We both had 2.5 hr packages and the whole experience was wonderful. We've treated ourselves to packages many times before and in many different states but we would have to say this has probably been the best value for money and quality. Our therapist 'Naomi' did a fantastic job! We will definately visit you again!

I went to Sakura Lounge yesterday after seeing the reviews on WOMOW. Upon entering, I was asked to pay for the service and then a guy greeted me and asked me to change my shoes to a pair of thongs. The massage I took up was for a Shiatzu massage for 60mins. For this massage, you do not need to strip naked- they provide you with a change of clothes. It was such a relaxing experience I almost fell asleep. They had good relaxing music and the room smelled nice. The Japanese guy that massaged me was very professional and speaks good English. I had aching muscles and wanted a deep massage to loosen up the knots- he used the perfect level of strength. I am now considering joining the membership and becoming a frequent customer.
The only down side to Sakura Lounge is that it is situated in a small alleyway, which may bring about a sense of insecurity for females going alone later in the evenings.
