One reason to patronise this centrally located Indian restaurant is that it is not a pub. In Stawell/Ararat area there are too few choices of places to out for a meal. Another and better reason is that the food we experienced was varied, fresh and well presented. The food catered for a range of palates. Vegetarians had many choices. It was possible to eat Indian food that did not burn the tongue. Our group of four people had three courses for less than $100. It was possible to buy a decent meal for less than $10, making it competitive with more common takeaway. The food is more interesting too. The portions were okay and the service polite and not too slow. The vibrant décor and Bollywood videos created an appropriate atmosphere. (The videos are a good distraction if you are unaccompanied, or find your company boring).
I would have liked to give a higher rating but we found our seating unsatisfactory, however, we were squeezed around a corner table and were cramped. I do not know if the restaurant had been booked out but during the course of our meal few patrons arrived and there remained many unoccupied tables. As we had a reservation this second rate arrangement is hard to forgive.

This business has changed name, and presumably owners/cooks. I have no experience of the new set up.
