Quaint little stop over en route to the Clare wine region.
Didn't expect too much for such a quiet country town, but looks can be deceiving. The food is very reasonable with serving portions quite generous. Obviously not one of the main stream hotels that you see in the city, but they do very good for themselves. It's their country charm that lends itself to it being so much better than your usual

The Rhynie Hotel is a stunning hotel from the outside and the bar isn't too bad either but the dining room definitely lacks atmosphere. Their weeknight specials are great and for $10 who can complain. Admittedly they are currently undergoing renovations so it would be well worth visiting in a couple of months.
