it must has been changed ownership or sth, this is the worst removal company I have ever come across!!! DO NOT use them [redacted generalisation]! booked online, didn't receive, called to confirm to book in and had to ask 3times to get the insurance paper. no show on the booking time, called to ask truck broke down, should have told me earlier instead of me waiting???? had to pay more to get a bigger truck and waited for 1.5hour! supposed to vacant by 11am, waited till 12am and still not vacant! not to mention this is a small 2bedroom apartment with my hubby and cleaner to help to move all the boxes out. they are just soooooooooooooooo slow!! unbelievable! you get paid by hour but you don't need to slow down and try to double the time as we got it done in 2 hours before, this move took 6hours!!! excuse me??? a small 2 bedroom apartment?? not to mention they still managed to damage my fridge, washing machine and the cot!!! got dents everywhere and damaged the walls!! demanded for $589 for no reason, would not pay a cent if I knew they were horrible like this!! never ever get them to work for you, [redacted due to inflammatory generalisation].. horrible service I had ever experienced, keep away from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cant believe how they are even in the industry!!!

Guys were great. Showed up on time, made light work of the lifting even though we were first floor to second floor flat! Dealt with things in their stride as well. For example, taking things apart and putting back together to get it in the flat.Even though it took an hour longer than expected due to bad traffic and an incident with a parking attendant they were the best value and definitely recommend. I use them first time bt next time whenever we guys move they are the first in our mind.Thanks guys for your help.

Very disappointed with the move and non-existent after service customer care this company has given me. I moved Sunday 24th November 2013 from St Kilda East to Bentleigh. The two Indian men arrived in a timely manner just after 8am & were courteous enough to call approximately 15 minutes before their arrival. Unfortunately this is the only positive comment I can make for this company. I was quoted over the phone that I would only need to hire a 4 ton truck to move the entire contents of my 2 bedroom flat. This was definitely an understatement. Fortunately on the previous Friday & Saturday a family member and I had managed to move most of my belongings using our cars leaving only the bigger items for Red Movers. We believed with confidence that the 4 ton truck would have more than enough room to accommodate the following items:

7.5kg Front loader washing machine
Medium size fridge
Medium size wardrobe
Ikea tallboy
Metal 3 draw filing cabinet
46" flat screen tv & ikea tv stand
Bicycle
Small portable Air conditioning unit
2 & 3 seater leather couch
2 x female torso mannequins
Double size mattress & futon frame
Small size book case

This was not the case as it took them two trips and 4 hours @ $89 p/h to get the job done which I thought was pretty expensive & inefficient since I was only moving 7.8km up the road & it was Sunday when there is hardly any traffic on the roads.

They were pretty rough with my items, when starting the job one of them (the driver) started to drag my 30kg ikea tallboy that has metal legs across the polished wooden floor boards. I had to tell him to stop doing it, assessed the damage to the floorboards and saw he had left a 35cm trail of scratch marks. I told him that I wanted to get my bond back from the real estate agency & to please take care my furniture to which he replied "No one gets their bond back when they move out of a rental" which I thought was very unprofessional & untrue.

During the chaos I also noted that they were not padding the furniture properly while loading it onto the truck. I had to tell them to apply more padding such as not bothering to protect my pristine mattress by leaning a dirty bicycle against it. Sharp edges of metal appliances against wood which will obviously scratch if no padding is applied between them.

They managed to load everything except for my two couches. The second trip took them 1 full hour. I am at a loss to why the 2nd trip took them so long. I was not there to witness it.

Drama didn't stop there. The place I have moved into has a staircase with a corner in it. Great care must be taken when moving items up the stairs which I explained to the boys. We all stood back & assessed the undamaged walls before I allowed them to take items upstairs. They still managed to whack the corner of my fridge into the wall leaving a 40cm x 65cm patch of chips & indentations along with deep scratches/indentation marks in the wooden stairs. I wasn't there when this happened but saw it shortly afterwards & pointed it out to one of them & asked him to show his colleague.

It wasn't with much surprise that later when they had finished & I had paid them that the driver was already at the wheel of the truck with the engine on ready to leave. I had to ask him to to turn off the truck to come and inspect the damage to the walls & stairs. Reluctantly he comes & I ask him to take photos with his phone. He stands a good 1.5 meters away from the wall then starts photographing. I have to ask him to stand closer. Scratching his head he seems oblivious that him & his colleague have caused this damage. The only condolence he can offer is for me to contact the office.

The saga continues... It has now been 3 weeks & 3 days since my move. I have called/texted/emailed this company on at least 15 occasions to enquire when they will be arranging for someone to come & assess/fix the damage they have done to the walls & floor. They keep promising to send someone around to fix in one week, then in 2-3 days, latest excuse is "I've been overseas but will get onto it in 2-3 days" that was over a week ago. They are displaying absolutely no interest in resolving this problem so I am left with an expensive repair bill. I absolutely DO NOT recommend that you use Red Movers. Unfortunately I choose them because of the stellar reviews they have received on this website, please don't make the same mistake I did.

Because of this experience and being a new user to womo I will exercise extreme caution when reading reviews members leave for businesses especially if it's a 5 star rating and they have a history of only leaving 1 review for a business. I would recommend you do the same.

Engaged Red Movers for our property styling business. Was nervous at first as the mover called on the day of pickup/delivery saying they could not make it in time. Due to the business nature of the move, we weren't flexible in time so we asked them whether if they could make it work. Received a call from CJ 15mins later and he managed to send another truck out to handle our job. Movers arrived on time as per agreed and was great on the job.

Only one concern about using them next time is that we hope they could be more organised when confirming the time of the pick up and delivery as this is very important to our business. Other than that, we have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

I booked Redmovers 1 month in advance to move my 3 bedroom house. The day before the move they called me to let me know that they won't be able to provide a 6T truck as request but a 4T one. I was a little bit stressed with this last minute change. However that was the end of stress because as soon as they came. I know my stuff are in the good hands. They arrived at 8am and everything was done after 2pm. They didn't charge me for the 2nd travel time. In short they provided a great quality service for a very reasonnable price.

We used Red Movers to move to Glen Iris on 29 August. They were supposed to turn up at between 8am and 8:30am and eventually arrived at 9:25am. However that was the end of the problems. From then on they got stuck into the task; Jim was excellent - a really helpful guy who did more than one could ask. Good price, great service and excellent value. We would use them again with no hesitation. P.S. No-one in this world is perfect, so I haven't given them '5 star' ratings in every category but trust me, they are very good.

Prab and Sandy helped us move house two days ago. They were friendly, professional and efficient. The move took six hours. A couple of small items got dropped with no incident, but Prab and Sandy were strong and capable - no walls or floors got scraped or bumped despite some heavy, awkward furniture and some difficult corners and stairs. Originally we had been thinking of hiring a truck and doing the labour ourselves but we are so relieved that we asked Red Movers because it was a huge job. I have already recommended Red Movers to two other people who will move house soon. Red is an excellent business.

Prep and Sandy came to help me moving home in early morning. Without any hassle they start to move the furniture straight away. They are very organised, friendly, hardworking guys. There is a huge (at least both me and my husband thought it is huge) desk in bedroom and we had very harsh experience when moving it in. But suddenly we noticed they have already moved it out, without any complain or any difficulty, or anything! Amazing! When we arrived at new house, firstly they asked where to put sofa, bed, table etc. big furniture, and where to put all boxes, then start to move in. This saves a lot of conversation time. They truly know what they are doing! I will definitely suggest them to all my friend.

We moved from a two bedroom apartment in North Melbourne to another 2 bedroom in Caulfield North. Booking process was very easy and quick. They were on-time and started the job straight away. Guys were really friendly and although we were in 3rd floor with lots of stairs without elevator, they did all the job quickly without any problem or extra cost.

I feel very lucky that I picked CJ and Red Movers for the moving job, it was a relatively small job but the removalists treated it very professionally. Great and easy communication with CJ to book the job, and the guys are very punctual and efficient during the job, the entire move took only 2 hours including travelling and no single little bit of stuff is damaged during the move. The guys are also very friendly and honest. what more can you ask? I highly recommend Red Movers if you seek reliable, honest and cost-effective removalists.

I dealt with CJ from Red Movers to book our move on 6 March from Brunswick West with additional pick-up in Malvern and destination Glen Huntly, VIC. I got quotes from seriously about 15 companies and ended up chosing Red Movers based on their value and the Womo reviews. There were some companies $10 cheaper by hour but charged fuel charges or depot fees. These guys had no extras so I realised they were going to be cheaper than the others as I didn't expect the move in total to take more than 6 hours, and they had great reviews already. After booking, I had to change the move time about 3 times but it was no problem for CJ. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call at 12.45pm to advise that the truck was on it's way and would be arriving between 1-1.15pm. They arrived 1.10pm. I had booked the 1-2pm slot and was hoping for closer to 1pm so that was great. Sandy and Prabh arrived and took great care with all items, I was watching. They worked quickly but carefully and were very pleasant to deal with. I was really impressed. We made a stop before the new address to pick up an extra single bed and this was no problem and was done quickly. The move took 4 hours which was what I was hoping for (wishfully thinking in terms of my budget) but I really expected considering the extra stop between addresses that it would take longer (other companies had told me longer). Ours was a 2 bedroom place. We did help things to run quicker by taking most boxes down to the street before they arrived but this because I wanted to reduce the cost. They placed everything where we asked. If they had doubts they consulted us. I would highly recommend this company and particularly wish to commend Sandy and Prabh on outstanding service on an extremely hot day! Thank you!

The guys from Red Movers helped us with our move from Glen Iris to Ashburton (though it was really only 4 streets down) over the Labour Day long weekend. It was great to get this booked in as I had only called 2 days prior with the last minute request.

Stuff moved included 2 queen beds + mattresses, 2 sofas, book shelves, drawers, baby cot, TV, TV bench, coffee table, side by side fridge, washing machine, 3 bicycles, LOTS of bits and pieces and approximately 100 cartons.

The 2 guys (sorry I can't remember their names) handled our stuff with care - they do better than when I try moving these things myself. They were very friendly and helped us with every request we had (one of them even offered me some of his Gatorade after seeing how exhausted I was with the last minute packing). No grumbles, no sighs and this was all on a 30+ deg day moving out of a very tight and poorly ventilated house with no air-conditioning. A lot of our bigger furniture I looked at and thought "how are they going to get this out!?" - but they did and no damage done.

They were very organised and knew what they were doing. All they needed to know on pickup was what was going (we left a few bits and pieces behind) and they got on with had to be done. On arrival, they were very mindly to ask what was going into which room, although again they didn't need much input here. I pretty much said, "All the boxes from the living room of the old house into the living room in the new house, and all the boxes from the garage of the old into the garage of the new, and that was it". They had organised the truck so well they knew what came from where.

Their parking skills with the 6 ton truck were amazing - narrow street and tight driveway but they still managed to get it in. Again mailbox intact!

Lastly, one of the best moving rates around, and I didn't go on this alone but based on the other Womo reviews - no regrets.
