Calling RACV was a convenience when my car wouldn't start. However, whilst calling them they placed us on the phone for a long duration and it was hard to reach an operator ASAP. They took an hour or more to arrive, which was inconvenient however it took less than 5 minutes to replace the battery, the service was quick and friendly.

wonderful, fast helpful kind, professional service. I broke down 1200 kms from home, they organised a service, then a tow, then a free hire car while the mechanics diagnosed the problem and ordered the spare parts. Could not have been nicer or more thoughtful. They would have provided accommodation if I needed it. Kept in touch, made sure I was happy. Extremely lovely staff, I have never had a bad experience with this service and I have been a member 35 years almost.

Approximate cost: $160 per year, That's $3 per week...BARGAIN!!!!!!!!

easy communication, no matter what time of the day or night, the phone and roadside staff are so welcoming and understanding. I have called them on the coldest wettest day (yes we have had rain before...lol) and the were so understanding of my situation

RACV are amazing. they have helped me out numerous times when my car has let me down! The mechanics are quick and very knowledgeable. I reckon the yearly membership is great value, as my car breaks down a fair bit.

in the midle of the night is when the car breaks down and these guys who tow us poor useless souls home or to the mechanics do a beaut job, well done guys you all deserve a pat on the back, you are life savers.

I've been rescued (read as towed) a few times over the last few months, and the professionalism combined with the humour of the tow truck drivers contracted to this department are priceless! having roadside assist is an invaluable and inexpensive option for peace of mind! Everyone should have it!

We had a fantastic experience where a group of friends got together with our toddlers. Unfortunately, one of the toddlers got accidently locked in the car. After calling the RACV they were there within 15 mins and very cleverly unlocked the car. What a great service.

I'm a huge fan of RACV total care. I have an older car and travel to and from Ballarat a lot. I've been towed, had my battery jump-started, locked my keys in the car (more than once), and just broken down in general for other reasons. The RACV road-side mechanics are always friendly and informative as to what they've done and what I need to do if the car needs more work. The RACV members card is a bonus too, they have a lot of discount offers around the place for a lot of things. Sadly I often forget to use it!
