I was sooo impressed but particularly by the cafe. Never before have I been able to order a kids gluten free bolognaise spaghetti right of the kids menu! Canberra must be particularly good when it comes to gluten free recognition. Very happy indeed

WOW! We recently went to Canberra to visit my mum who lives there and took the kids to questacon. SOOOOO much for the kids to do and the set up is amazing. You walk in and it is like a big circle, you go up and walk down and around into each room. amazing.
This is a must if your are visiting Canberra, but you probably already know that. We had children from 9 to 16 and they all had a wonderful time.. and I must say the adults did to. And to top it off, they serve great coffee in the cafe :-)

Wow, this place made me feel like a kid again! (and I do not say that lightly at all.) The things you can do at this place do not compare to any attraction I have ever been to in my life and I have done a lot of crazy things, (from skydiving to bungy jumping), but I think this place was one of the most memorable attractions I have ever been to. The thing that stands out the most is the amazing `360 degree swing` that turns you into a superhuman! You get strapped into a giant robotic jump suit and with a little enthusiasm from the participant you can swing 360 degrees upside down and keep swinging round and round. woooo hooooo! This place has everything for the science geeks, big kids, little kids, medium size kids, (those who missed out on being a kid), and even the pet cat! (Ok , maybe not the pet cat, but you know what I mean.) The food in the cafe was awesome and extremely well priced and well to be honest, pretty much everything here was awesome. After we had spent several hours dizzying over the endless attractions they offer, doing virtual reality puzzles, `life size` brain teasers, tackling the huge 180 degree vertical slide and marveling over 3D wizardry, we got stuck in the gift shop for about an hour looking for cool things to buy. (The biggest problem I had at this place was not being able to put the entire science centre in my pocket and take it home with me!)
Questacon is simply Awesome. It is a great place to visit for young and old especially for children to explore the magical wonderments of science. There are a lot of hands on things to do & see. You can let your imagination run wild!
A fantastic place for kids, they won't wan't to leave. There are so many hands on activities to do which everyone will find engaging and enjoyable. Kids will definately not be bored. The souvenir shop has fun and quirky things to buy as well.
Amazing place, I remember when I came here as a child and it was just as amazing when I was an adult. Fun for the whole family (and not just for children). The staff are amazing (though the staff at the gift shop tend to be a little grumpy). Amazing fun, you'll learn heaps about science and that science can be fun as well!
A really educational, very science-based, experience for kids. Can even be fun for adults! Kids can easily spend a whole day here and never be bored, there is so much for them to explore and learn about the world of science in a fun, entertaining atmosphere.
A fun and educational day out for the whole family. There is so much to see and do. We live in Sydney, but the kids are begging me to take them to Questacon again.
My kids love this place. We went unwillingly the first time and loved it so much we purchased a year's membership.
Questacon is the BEST family day out to be had in Canberra. There are so many amazing things for the kids (and their parents!) to do. The kids learn whilst having fun, what could be better!
I especially love that they have "Mini Q" - a special spot for the under 5s. This is also where they have large comfy chairs for breastfeeding, plus a nice baby change facility.
The staff are all excellent, and obviously love what they do. I think they must take special "happy lessons" because I've never seen a grumpy Questacon staff member. :) The daily talks in particular are well worth attending.
We have a family annual membership and go at least once a month. My kids are never bored, even though they've seen it all over and over. The membership price is VERY reasonable, and well worth it if you plan on coming to Questacon more than twice in the year. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
