If you book a flight with Qantas, be 100% certain that you don’t need to change it later, otherwise you will have the worst experience in dealing with a business that you will ever encounter. When you finally get through, Most of the Operators speak poor English, so communication is difficult, and not just the language, they seem to have trouble understanding what you want and what to do. It’s very frustrating. I cancelled a flight over 6 months ago and Qantas created a flight voucher, but never gave me the details to use it. Eventually, they agreed to refund the full $333 and about a month later gave me $10.86. When I queried it they said it should have been $333, but that was nearly two months ago now and any time I talk to them that say wait another 10-15 business days. Still nothing! Don’t ever agree to a flight credit. Qantas rates are nearly double virgin and Jetstar, so there’s not a lot of point. If you have to cancel with Qantas, you’ve done you’re dough.

My partner has Parkinson’s disease & can’t walk long distances or climb gangway stairs. We recently went on holidays interstate & chose to fly with Qantas because customers embark straight from the departure lounge to the aircraft. Upon checking in our luggage at Melbourne Airport & Brisbane Airport, the airport staff arranged for my partner & myself to travel via terminal transportation to our departure gate. The professionalism of Qantas is of the highest standard & they look after their customers with ease. Well done Qantas. We will always travel Qantas both domestic & international. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

This year we have flown 6 times with Qantas and I can not fault their dedicated crew. Flying with a toddler can be stressful enough, but the Qantas crew on each flight has made the flight easier and enjoyable. Upon boarding it was every time explained on what to be mindful if there is an emergency landing, the toilets which has a change table has been pointed out, extra blankets and pillows provided and where ever possible a row of seats allocated with an empty seat.

Qantas are quite expensive in comparison to other full service airlines. They however aren't better in any way. I've flown with them many times and usually try and take another airline.

Their cabin crew treat you like you're a nuisance and the food is unrecognisable.

We would just like to thank Qantas for their recent assistance. My parents had to cancel a planned trip to Perth due to ill health and we could not claim the fare back on insurance. My father is no longer able to fly and could not take advantage of the credit voucher that was issued. We contacted Qantas and they very kindly refunded the ticket costs back to us. It was a great surprise and welcome news to my mother during a difficult period. Well done Qantas. Nice to see some big businesses do have a heart after all.

I'd like to give a BIG thumbs up for Qantas. I again recently flew on a domestic flight with this company and have nothing but praise for their professionalism and service with a smile. Am getting used to and starting to love their self service at the airport. It's so easy to use and there's always someone very helpful nearby to give you a hand if need be. Checking in now also seems to be much faster than before. I also love their huge luggage scales and tables for repacking. This came in extremely handy during my last journey as I wasn't able to weigh my suitcases before. Sorted it all out easily at the airport. Had to check in extra luggage at no cost so that was an unexpected change and a bonus!

It's so encouraging to see this company having turned its business around in the past year or so and starting to make the profit it deserves to have. The new modern uniforms look smart, the food has also improved. The genuine desire to serve is a welcome change to so many shonky businesses out there not giving a damn about their customers! I've recently joined their frequent flyer program and look forward to many more journeys with Qantas. Well done guys!

Qantas is a good airline but needs to do more in the service department to win me.

A few years ago i travelled from Singapore to Brisbane and the trip was not very good. They took so long to serve you a drink, which i did not respect.

Service is much better on the domestic routes than the international ones.

Planning to visit our family overseas in 2015 and was looking at airfares from various online sites. Found an extremely good price on the qantas website so we booked it and were able to use our frequent flyer points for part payment too. Have selected our seats and meals and this has been done at least 2 months before we were going to as it seems a good opportunity to save some money. Have been flying another carrier the last couple of times but qantas seem to more competitive now and we can fly from Adelaide with only one stop which is quite short.

I worked for Qantas for almost an year and inspite of being in loss for them, they managed to be a social partner of several NGOs and also organized many community events and also gave the confidence to their employees when tough times.

My partner and I flew with Qantas to America recently as it is a well known and trusted airline. More leg room in economy than the cheaper airlines and flying straight to Los Angeles is a big incentive. The inflight entertainment is great with a range of movies and tv shows to watch, CDs and radios to listen to and games to play.
Coming back to Australia we were able to bring two suitcases back each-fantastic as we could shop all we wanted. Service at the airport and on the plane was good-friendly and attentive.

While entering Adelaide Airport with a suitcase and 18 month old grandson I was disappointed by the rudeness of some Qantas Cabin Staff. They stopped at the entry to the terminal and blocked access of the doors from the footbridge and also the escalator to kiss goodbye. Their cases out behind and stopping suddenly caused a dangerous situation. Very rude

I had the most enjoyable flight traveling Business Class to Melbourne from Brisbane with Qantas. The flight attendants were so efficient, helpful and even knew my name. I had the most enjoyable breakfast and really enjoyed the flight. Full credit to the Qantas pilots and flight attendants. With out a doubt in the future flying Business Class again.

Qantas for domestic travels is the by far the best airline. Very professional pilots and cabin crew that take their jobs seriously. Flights are generally always on time so when you are planning to get somewhere at a certain time you get there at the planned time and not 4 hours delayed. Food and drinks are included in the price

QANTAS is probably everyone's preferred airline - it's their pricing that makes us go elsewhere.

We fly QANTAS every time their prices are comparable with other companies because we love them, but unfortunately most of the time they price themselves out of the market.

My last flight I flew with Qantas from Adelaide to Sydney return and I found their staff to be really helpful and patient, and considering I am not the best flyer this was important.
I like that the planes are always tidy and that they include a light snack on their flights, which is included in your ticket price.
The staff at the check in were also really helpful, I will fly with them again wherever possible.

The icon! Qantas offers the best service in Australia. Best airline food, and best staff. Unfortunately they are pricing themselves out of the game. A lot of their airfares are three times that of competitor's, which makes me go with the opposition as I can't see why I should pay three times what others are asking. It's a shame.

Might be a little biased as my father worked here but i have never used any other airline company.
One of the biggest, longest running companies, that do charge a little more but are certainly worth it for their standard of service.
Reasonable seating in economy class, much better in business class and of course first class is exceptional. Good food and drinks with the staff always happy to meet your needs, and calm your fears if you have any.
Entertainment for the kids with movies, colouring in books and pencils and if your really lucky they might take you to the cockpit and the pilots are lovely.
Will always continue to fly with this airline

Long haul flight via Qantas for the first time. Cabin crew were helpful and service was good. Food was ok but they kept running out of menu options. Disappointed with how cramped the seating was on the A380 economy. There shouldn't be a fee for choosing your seat in advance. Budget airline feel, so don't pay premium fares to fly with them.

I've flown Qantas domestically for business for a few years and have racked up a significant amount of Frequent Flyer Points. But try as I might I cannot seem to use them for flying with my family. We fly internationally to visit relatives in the US and Singapore at least twice a year.

In my extensive research, Qantas has the highest priced infant and toddler fares around and so even if I was to cash in points for myself for a round trip flight to Singapore I still end up paying about the same price for the whole family to travel as I would on another airline. However, if I was travelling with another airline I'd still have all my Qantas frequent flyer points (not that I can use them anyway).

I only fly Qantas because it is Company Policy to do so and they pay for it. But I really don't think there is value in the premium fares they charge for domestic flights when the only difference I see between Qantas and a budget airline is that the food cart that comes around with a drink (approx $3) and a scone (approx $4) or a bag of veggie chips (approx $2.50)

Qantas could have a lot of business from me (especially on their Sydney->Dallas route which I would fly at least once a year) if their fares and policies were more in line with the market. They don't even have to be cheaper, just comparable, rather than way outside of reasonable.

On the plus side, I have never had any reason to fault their ground staff, Qantas lounge staff or cabin crew which are very helpful and kind especially when I was doing weekly flights from Syd-Mel return all through my pregnancy. There was always someone to help me with my bags and make sure I had an easily accessible seat.

I used to fly with Qantas, but now i fly with jetstar. The service with qantas used to be somehting you'd pass onto others but i hadn't seen it for years. The prices soar expenentially and I don't find any different between jetstar, except i dont pay as much!

This "service" has deteriorated from the fantastic business it was two decades ago. The "rewards" have lost value dramatically long before the GFC. They have time limits and restrictions everywhere, so if you don't use them or claim you lose the points. Yet, we can never get the flight itineraries or dates we want when we try to claim. We cannot get seats together on the same flight! My daughter wanted all her points redeemed into gift cards and could only do $30 worth of gift voucher every quarter! My sister wanted to give me all her points but was not allowed to do so as points have to be transferred in multiples of 5,000. So she lost her points for not travelling with them again. What a scam the Qantas frequent flyer Program is. We now avoid Qantas when we can.
