We're committed to providing advice that is genuinely in your best interest that's not just our promise, it's our legal obligation as licensed financial planners. Every strategy we recommend is documented in a Statement of Advice (SOA) tailored specifically to your circumstances. All Planning Box advisers hold the qualifications required under FASEA (Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority) and are registered on the Financial Advisers Register (ASIC). Our advisers hold relevant degrees and have completed the FASEA Ethics Exam. We operate under an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and comply with all ongoing professional development requirements set by ASIC and our licensee.
What is your fee structure like? Fixed fees? Hourly rates?
We operate on a transparent, fee-for-service model. We charge fixed fees for the preparation and delivery of your Statement of Advice, so you know exactly what you're paying before any work begins. Ongoing advisory and review services are offered . We do not charge commissions on investment products our income comes from you, not investment product providers, keeping our advice genuinely independent.
What are your current prices (fixed and variable)?
Our fees vary depending on the complexity of your situation and the scope of advice required. As a guide, initial advice fees typically start from $2,500$3,500 for a comprehensive Statement of Advice, with ongoing service retainers from around $1,100 per year depending on your needs. We provide a clear fee disclosure upfront and in your Financial Services Guide (FSG) before you commit to anything.

The moment a client realises they have an actionable plan to meet their financial goals, whether it's a couple who finally has a clear retirement plan after years of uncertainty, or a business owner who discovers they can sell their business and fund the lifestyle they've worked for, those conversations are genuinely rewarding. Financial planning done well changes lives, and that's what gets us out of bed every morning.
What are your payment terms and conditions? Do you offer payment plans? Afterpay? Interest-free terms?
Advice fees are invoiced upon engagement, with payment due prior to or upon delivery of your Statement of Advice. Depending on your situation, some fees may be payable directly out of pocket or deducted from your superannuation account we'll walk you through what's available to you. For ongoing service retainers, we offer various options. We don't currently offer Afterpay, but if you have specific needs we're happy to discuss flexible payment arrangements just ask.

Planning Box takes a personalised approach to financial planning, working with clients across all walks of life whether you're a PAYG employee, self-employed, or planning your path to retirement. We understand that personal wealth rarely exists in isolation, and our advice reflects the full picture of your financial life. We're not a call-centre planning firm you'll deal with the same adviser throughout your relationship with us, and our advice is genuinely tailored, not templated.
What insurance do you hold, and what value are you covered for?
Planning Box holds Professional Indemnity Insurance as required under our AFSL obligations, providing coverage for claims arising from financial advice. We also hold Public Liability Insurance. Specific coverage amounts are available on request. Our insurance arrangements are reviewed annually to ensure they remain appropriate for our business size and service scope.
How quickly can work be completed? What are your turnaround times? Do you offer same-day service?
Following your initial discovery meeting, we typically deliver a Statement of Advice within 2 - 4 weeks, depending on complexity and how quickly we can gather the necessary information from you and your other advisers. For time-sensitive matters such as insurance applications or superannuation rollover advice, we prioritise accordingly. We don't offer same-day SOA preparation. Quality advice takes time to get right.

Planning Box has helped numerous clients transform their financial position over the years. One that stands out is a client who came to us with no clear plan or strategy for retirement. Through tailored advice and structural changes to their financial position, we implemented a roadmap to keep them on track toward their goals. We offer a complimentary initial discovery meeting (no cost, no obligation) so you can understand whether financial planning is right for you before committing. For business owners who refer staff or partners for advice, we're happy to discuss package arrangements. We also work closely with accounting and mortgage broking partners to offer coordinated advice for clients navigating more complex financial transitions.
