Pie Face is really the death of the great Aussie pie. The pies are okay, but nothing special, the pastry is oily rather than flaky. You do get lots of varieties. But generally overpriced.
Other the supermarket and the bakery on Gympie rd, you don't have many other choices for pies and sausage rolls in Chermside.
The prices are a little high here but the food is yummy! Very friendly customer service too but I really think I ate the best sausage roll I have tasted so far, yum!
