If you need a quick bite to eat in the city and you're near Flinders Street Station, Pepperoni's is a good place to get a cheap bit to eat. A pizza slice will set you back about $2 or two slices for $3 or so. You can't really beat the value. Quality is a bit average, but you get what you pay for.
Pretty average pizza but ok for where it is and the times they are open. I have tried a few of their slices and some are warm and rubbery never fresh and hot but they fill the hole at the time and its cheaper than ordering a whole pizza
yeah i find that the slices are usually never really fresh
Great alternative to Maccas next door. I usually look through the glass and order the tastiest looking slice of pizza they have. The staff are totally not bothered with their job but that is part of the charm of the place.
It's 24 hour and has never made me sick lol
Yeah look... the 24hr joint on Elizabeth St near Flinders St is I guess better than McDonalds but could be alot better. Most food has been sitting there for hours and when you ask for fresh food they just look at you? Average food really, some great but most not up to the mark.
cheap pizzas, usually grab a couple of slices while waiting for a tram/train/friend, not too bad overall
love how they're 24 hours, however, tried to order delivery to melbourne university (which is about a 15 minute tram ride away) and they said the wait was an hour - which i found ridiculous, so didn't end up ordering anything
Ok place but nothing not expected. Ordered Aussie pizza with onion extra 2 days in a row both times they forgot to add onion (ordered late at night and only person there so being busy cannot be an excuse). Obviously do not listen to their customers. Taste was ok but not good enough.
I'm surprised none of the other reviews have mentioned anything other than pizza! I was in the area and had my usual mid-morning craving for a hash brown but Macca's had none left since it was just after their breakfast menu finished. I walked into Pepperoni's next door and saw they had a whole range of breakfast foods in the front counter: sausages, bacon, grilled tomato, mushrooms and my fave, hash browns. I got some bacon, a hash brown for 90 cents and some mushrooms on the side for $1.50 and I could not finish my meal, it was so big. I could not help but notice that their hash browns were better than Maccas, and much cheaper too.
If the breakfast foods don't look freshly made and have been sitting in the counter for a while, I would recommend an a la carte breakfast. They're very reasonable and good value: bacon and eggs/hash brown and eggs $7.50, double decker pancakes $8.50, eggs benedict $9.50, veggie big breakfast $10.50.
I also noticed some attractive cakes on the side including a white mud, a cheesecake, a tim tam cake and a mars bar cake. Will have to try these next time.
They also do sandwiches, salads, pastas, risottos, burgers and steaks. Oh yes, and the pizzas include a gluten free choice, which I definitely must try next time.
This place is not what I would call flash, but it provides decent food for an honest price. Not what I would expect from its central location - it's opposite Flinders station. I would have expected typically jacked-up prices, so this is a pleasant surprise. Open 24 hours.
Approximate cost: $8 for a typical breakfast; I typically get a few sides for under $5
tops review mate, spot on
Unfortunately pizza places delivering late night are fairly limited in the city. This place is 24/7 and at least used to do free delivery (I think minimum $15 purchase?). It has a fair range of foods, so if you're not wanting pizza, you can get something else delivered. Their pizzas are okay. Oddly, the small pizzas are quite good, but the big pizzas get really soggy. Their cheese pizza sucks, and the ham on the aussie pizza looked bad.. like, half brown half pink and tasted weird.. I do like their supreme and the garlic, but once again - the small pizza tasted so much better than the large.
They take ages to deliver (50 mins, even though we lived in the city..) but whatever, most pizza places are like that.
The pizza tasted awesome! And the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. But, the pizza slices aren't on the cheap side, lately it has been getting more and more expensive, and that has seen me visit Pepperoni's less as of late.
They do delivery service around CBD area.. excellent! The service is quite fast to arrive and the price of the pizza, pasta and snacks - is quite cheap up to reasonable price.
Pepperoni's is a good place if you are wanting something quick and tasty to eat. Its not the best pizza you'll ever have but its far from the worst either, and its always better than the big chain pizza places. Good selection of pizza availabe by the slice. Service is ok - guess it depends on what time of the day or night you go. I've never had my world rocked with the service that I've gotten, but they've never been rude or dismissive of me either. Great location too. All up, if you're hungry for some pizza you could do a lot worse than visit here.
Handy with their delivery services on the scooters. You can also eat in and order pasta and pizza, or if you are going by just quickly they are ideal for picking a slice or two for a snack. Relatively cheap eat as well.
Stopped here after a night out for a couple of slices of pizza. Wasn't expecting much (thought pizza would be dry, sitting in the warmer all day) but was happy to find the pizza made fresh often and was really delicious. Especially loved the pizza base. Can't wait to visit Melbourne again for a slice of their pizza.
Pepperoni's pizza is great with service. their staff is friendly and very helpful when it came to ordering for a board meeting with a no. of requests such as diff toppings etc... price is reasonable and their delivery was right on time.
great variety of pizzas, friendly staff, quick service and really cheap prices too. Great value for money, especially in the cbd
Approximate cost: $2 a slice
They have the best Meat Lover pizza, I love the marinated lamb toppings they put on the pizza.
I have been their customer for 7 years now and every time I would always order the same pizza. The prices have gone up a little over the years, but still value for money IMHO
Approximate cost: $14
When I went to this restaurant I had the pasta, it was ok but you could tell it had been sitting there for a while. Next time I will order something that gets cooked fresh
Approximate cost: $10
Enjoyed the pizza. Sold per slice and as a whole pizza when dining-in and take away. Delivery available (sold as whole pizza's only :) ). Revisited twice during my 9 day stay in Melbourne. Open 24 / 7. Friendly staff - mainly Indian. The pizza is cheap only $2 a slice and is not too greasy unlike some places I have been too. Located 50m from Flinders Station and near MacDonald's on Elizabeth St. Favourite pizza is Hawaiian.
Approximate cost: $2 per slice.
i tried this by delivery because they were offering $29 deal (2 lge pizza, soft drink 1.25L and garlic bread). it was better than i expected but toppings were not that really great. hot american and chicken supreme was nice. no charge with half/half pizza. extra $3 for delivery need to be paid.
Approximate cost: $12
i brought a whole pizza for me and my sister. this was a pepperoni pizza (For the Basic Pizza Dough (There will be enough dough for 1x30cm pizza or 4 x 13cm pizzas)
175g strong white flour
1.5 ml salt
5ml easy dried yeast
120ml lukewarm water
15ml olive oil
For the basic tomato sauce:
15ml olive oil
1 medium onion
1 garlic clove (optional)
400g can chopped tomatoes
15ml tomato puree
15ml chopped fresh mixed herbs
Seasoning
For the final topping:
8 slices of pepperoni sausage
125g of grated mature Cheddar cheese
125g of fresh Parmesan ) although i do not believe that these were in fact the used ingredients it tasted like an overdone own value frozen pizza from COLES!!!
i would recommend they pull up their socks (or at least their trousers it was not a pleasant view.
Approximate cost: $15
I love the Hot American Pizza.. absolutely AMAZING. esp on a cold winter's day!
Slices are about 1.80 per piece so that's quite reasonable as well. Best part is it's open 24/7, so when you get hungry in the middle of the night, you can always hop down there to grab a bite!
If you can't be bothered cooking or dining out then call these guys, they have great delivery deals and at a very good price. Pizza and Pasta are both amazing. Great range of toppings. Delivery takes about an hour give or take. And it's open 24/7.
Approximate cost: $13
