Tasty quick korean dishes. Great service. Comes with complementary little dishes of kimchi. Spicy pork belly rice bucket n Korean fried chicken is recommended.
Approximate cost: $12
Went there for lunch and I must say, it has a pleasant atmosphere and nice seating. Spicy pork belly bucket is a must! Will be back soon!
The bucket meal is worth while and cheap for students and workers who are on budget. It's only $10 and comes with big portion of rice, meat and vege along with a hash potato.
To be honest we tried its fried chicken (which is usually famous in Korean dramas) and it didn't turn out that nice though it was uniquely cooked with some tteokpoki in it.
It wasn't the taste and the flavour I wanted and quite different to other restaurants. Other than the fried chicken, the bucket meals are cheap & good.
The restaurant is quite small and narrow too. It's the same row with Maccas on Swanston St.
Approximate cost: $10
My friend and I were slightly at a loss to choose from the Korean menu, although everything looked wonderful. We went with familiar for the Boneless Korean Fried Chicken. We got the main for $11 and it was very nice. It came with not only chicken, but wedges and salad. It was enough to fill the both of us, a lot of people were also ordering it, so I think it is very popular all round. I also got the Sac Sac which is under Korean drinks and was $3 and It was delicious!
Staff were very nice and food came out quickly. It was a small shop with a lot of customers, but didn't seem crowded and noisy.
I would definitely be back if was wanting Korean food. Open everyday from 11.30 to 10.00 or 11.00 pm.
I have been enjoying some Korean food lately, so will check this out next time, thanks
Who doesn't love a good filling $10 meal? At Oppa you get that along with a reliable and great experience. Step into the place and you will be pleased with its fresh and shiny surfaces and minimalist yet non-stark atmosphere. THe place has a refreshing, bustling vibe to it, but at the same time you don't feel rushed or uncomfortable, and the noise levels are well managed.
On to the food, lots of delicious balanced options to choose from, such as the beef bulgogi which comes in a bucket (literally a bamboo/cane bowl or pot that is almost the size of a small bucket), and is generously filled with meat and greens etc.
