Love the view from this bar of the Opera House. It is a little bit expensive so I tend to come here for just one or two drinks and then move on to somewhere else

Long time Sydney resident, 1st time Opera Bar visitor. Beautiful views of the harbour. It was a bit of a struggle to get a table but the atmosphere was good and did not mind too much paying more for my drink. One round of drinks for 4 was $40.00 talking beer and house wine

The Opera Bar is spectacular for its views of Sydney Harbour and the great ambience. Love going here after work with My friends for a chilled out evening.
The Opera Bar is such a beautiful place to have a bar, what's not to love with such beautiful views. The place has a great vibe after work and they often have a band playing. Bar food is good too.
Stunning views here! I don't think you'll get a better view in Sydney. Prices are exxy but it's what you would expect for Sydney. Absolutely stunning

Opera bar boasts stunning views. It's a great spot on the water for a drink or 2. I would go there for pre's if you are wanting a big night out. No-one dances here and it's more of a chilled place
Opera bar is such a great place to go out on the town. It's got such a gorgeous view and there's always a good bar scene there. As most places in sydney, it's a little expensive, but that's what you pay for with a place like opera bar - there's no riff raff there

I absolutelly love this place. I know its quite expensive but you pay for the location and the view. The atmosphere is great and so are the drinks and food.
Brilliant place to have a drink and admire what a fantastic city we live in - provided the weather is good. We went last week when the Queen Mary 2 was in and the atmosphere was buzzing. I'd never been before and couldn't believe how many ppl were there - lots of eye candy and people watching - very interesting! Drinks are a bit pricey but you'd expect that being in the city and in that location. Food is good, bit on the pricey side once again but good choices and a good idea when you're out drinking. The place is very popular, sometimes hard to find a seat - we had a fun night!
We went here for a cider in the sun yesterday while visiting from Melbourne. What a lovely view and atmosphere. We were going to order lunch but the menu was a bit too pricey. We ended up having some drinks and found a seat by the water. There are so many seats/tables so its a great place to visit on a nice day for a drink and a great view.
Great place to go for a relaxed but very good quality lunch with beautiful views and atmosphere. The food is executed perfectly, with flair and creativity. I had a beetroot salad ($21) with 4 different types/colours of beetroot, speck, goats cheese, apple etc. All the elements were delicious and fresh, and tied in well. It was also a fairly large portion and well presented. I was impressed.
So the cost of food and drinks are crazy but where else can you get views like this.. and hey they need to pay the rent so you can come and see the views. Maybe not an everyday affair but you def need to do this at least once with a small group of friends
Scenery incredible over looking Sydney harbour at dusk is Devine. Very expensive to drink / eat here but where ele can u sit alongside the opera house and enjoy the Sydney harbour bridge. It was a treat for us and we enjoyed it.
What a great view to dine in. You have stunning views of the great harbour bridge, most of the people comes around which provides a good buzz and great atmosphere, and different live music every night. Honestly, the food is just so-so. You just pay mostly for the view and scenic.
Sometimes the staff can forget to bring what you ordered because there are so packed with people.

We were here on the Sunday night of the long weekend which was also the last night of the Vivid Light Festival and it was packed. Luckily we managed to secure a table with a view. We ordered a few pizzas to share and several cocktails and some wine.
A little bit on the pricey side however you are in an amazing location.
It is somewhere nice for some Sunday afternoon drinks. A must for tourists.
this place is sensational. i don't think there is anywhere else that has such a fantastic view. the pizza was great. The cocktails were fantastic. the woman that made the cocktails was a real professional and great to watch. you don't need to book as there are hundreds of tables.
Wow, we have been wanting to visit here for ages, having tickets for a musical we went here for dinner recently.
The atmosphere is fantastic, the views are spectular, and the food is tasty, fresh and YUM.
The menu is basic though the prices are reseasonable.
The cocktails are awsome.

Great drinks (cocktails) and spectacular views. definitely a must if your visiting sydney but the drinks are overpriced for it to be a regular waterhole...
this is a great place for a lazy sunday afternoon in summer. its a heard to beat view of sydney harbour. drinks are not cheap, but average for this sort of establishment.
Our work colleagues like going to Opera Bar after work for a few drinks winding down. The place and its settings is beautiful, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge at the front and the Opera House right next to it. You can catch the sunset as well if the timing is right. Lots of people come here so the atmosphere is great. Drinks are slightly expensive but it's still reasonable. They have all sorts of drinks avaiable. Most people stand but I prefer sitting down as my feet hurts when standing up in heels the whole night.
Opera Bar has the most spectacular view, the owners certainly found the perfect spot to situate a bar and restaurant. It is very enjoyable to meet with friends here and have a drink both after work or on the weekend. The area is spacious and if you get there early seating is not a problem. The drinks are very expensive, and the food is a tad over-priced, I think it might be the beautiful setting that you are paying extra for :-) I do feel that the venue could benefit by putting more bar staff on, considering Opera Bar is always busy, you always seem to be waiting ages to be served. Nevertheless, I still love coming here for drinks and catch-up with friends, being here makes me appreciate how beautiful Sydney is and how lucky I am to live here.
This bar is a beautifully set location and has a spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The drinks are expensive as expected, but affordable. My boyfriend bought white wine, and even though it was pricey, it wasn't anything special. This bar is just a nice place to go before a show.
Perfect place to enjoy drinks on a beautiful spring day. Just remember if you want cocktails you have to go in the inside bar - the outside bar does the "standard" drinks. Lunch was reasonably priced and yum! Steak was great...

I was shocked looking at the previous comments : opera bar is my favourite place to be in sydney , with an AMAZING view of the harbour and always international people socialising there . It's pricy but totally worth the experience. only problem is rain , if it's raining , they close like half of the bar
I love going here in Summer. There is always live music on a weekend. Open air bar with lovely views of the harbour Bridge and Opera house.

in good weather this is the most stunning bar in the world with fantastic views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge circular quay and Luna Park , simply amazing in day or night!
This place is located at absolutely beautiful location. You will overlook the harbour and see the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House while enjoying a glass with your friends. To add to this ambience there is a live music in the evening.
Staff are professional and do their best when it gets too busy.
A pretty cool place. View is simply stunning and ambiance is superb for me. With good company, good food and cold drinks, you can never go wrong.
