Great spot to go and chill after the hike up the hill. Nice cosy spot too when it's a cold day. Reasonable prices, nice food and staff.

Climbed mt lofty last weekend. Stopped here for a coffee at the top. Nice place and atmosphere. Good coffee, friendly service. Next time i will try the food.
I know you didn't try the food but did you take a glance at the menu?? Was it mainly cafe food or some decent mains as well?
Pleasant atmosphere and great views. The service was exceptional and the food was very tasty. There is an option for fine dining and more casual dining around the corner.
My husband and I regularly go here for a coffee to treat ourselves after climbing Mt Lofty. Relaxed atmosphere (maybe its the altitude?, or maybe not, its only a baby mountain at 700m odd!), friendly service, good coffee and always a great view. We will go back for dinner looking out over the lights of Adelaide, but we'll drive rather than climb! A great location to take interstate/overseas visitors for a meal or coffee with a view.

Am I saying special too much? Maybe it's because I think this place is FANTASTIC! Comparable to the Windy Point Restaurant, this place has great food, service and location. And it's higher up!
Went there once for Valentine's day with my special someone and they had a free glass of bubbles on arrival. What a nice gesture and we hadn't even sat down! But then again, we booked. Coz if you didn't book, you wouldn't have got a seat. Haha.
Dress nicely for this place, but warmly if you're going on a cool night. The heights make for a chilly breeze.
