5 star restaurant in this country town...
I was really impressed.
Here's what we ordered.
Barramundi Ceviche with pickled ginger, ruby grapefruit, lime dressing, hot mint and beanshoots
Kitchen tasting plate with Pickled wagyu tongue, truffled potato, artichoke etc; Bay leaf smoked kangaroo; Potted blood; Duck liver parfait, sherry muscatel jelly and brioche; Wild rabbit terrine, pickled quince; Pulled pork rillettes.
Wild rabbit 2 ways - rolled fillet and leg pithivier with chestnut puree, confit shallot, and kaiser jus
Not the kind of food you would expect from a country town bistro that is not 'wine country'.
The decor was quite interesting/quirky too. Imagine a white victorian room, filled with raw wood tables and painted steel chairs/stools.
