Lovely interior and the food is great excellent menu for lunch. Always different flavours and presentations. Great to have the gallery next door, the painted elephant on the veranda is a must see, with all kinds of African animals painted all over him.
The deserts are delicious and so tempting you just have to try one. The variety changes all the time, I have never seen such a yummy display.
Our first visit today. Lovely interior and excellent food and service. We tried 5 different things from the menu and they were all excellent. I highly recommend this place.
Wow the variety of menu and available wines made it hard to decide what menu to order, great staff very knowlegable about meals and area, happy to converse and offer advice about menu, very clean, fresh environment

It was a quiet Saturday drive and we wanted to just get away. The Merricks General Store appears to be a haven for the upwardly mobile family. When we arrived, there was the usual carpark of European four wheel drives. Nonetheless, the dining areas are bright and very much in the vein of a remodelled barnyard. It is comfy and relaxing; the food is good but it's more the feeling that you're far enough away from home but close enough to return that gives you comfort. Bring your family (4WD optional), they'll love it.
We had breakfast at this cute General Store. It is decked out with rustic tables, a huge fire place and wine bottles as the feature wall behind the counter. The food was really yummy and they had a range of options.
