when I heard from my friend regarding the out of pocket money they have to pay when staying in the private hospital, i was concerned about mine. But medibank is great, all payment was covered even I was in the hospital for 5 days. I only need to pay the excess! they have an officer working with the hospital who helped us to include the bub on the policy as well, hassle free!
Approximate cost: $230
If you can't afford full insurance you can still do things like just Ambulance cover
If you have to get taken away in one it can cost a small fortune
Even if you don't get one in 4 years say and then you do that one trip will have paid for itself and thensome
Its just nice to know if something does happen like you get bitten or fall over you don't not want to call one for the sake of the cost because you are worried about the bill
Handy to have if you have an Illness or medical problem
