Went on a Saturday night with my family and it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and willing to accommodate to your needs. The food took a while to come out (not sure if that's because they were busy) but when the food did arrive it looked and tasted delicious. The large range of desserts looked amazing and again tasted just as good. Definitely will go back.

Love Max's for a quick coffee. Food can get a little bit pricey, but the service is always good and the coffee is great!

The last time I went here the service was appalling. It was mid afternoon and the shop was completely quiet. The food was very average, the chicken pasta had three pieces of chicken. Every bowl and plate on the table had a chip in it and my glass had to be sent back because it had lipstick on it from the previous patron.
I have been to Max's once and it is a busy cafe/restaurant in Essendon. Outside eating area is covered providing shelter from the sun/rain all year round. I had their pizza, the seafood one but didn't like the smoked salmon on top and the service is a bit slow
Amazing tasting food. Decent value for money. Unfortunately the lack of, an un-attentive staff lets them down
Stopped in here for a quick lunch, thought the menu looked ok with a large variety and the place was packed with people. When we got the food, I dont know how so many people still go to this place. The servings are large and the quality is horrid. I got the grilled vegie pizza but there was way too many toppings and it doesnt look appetizing. It actually looked like someone vomited on the pizza.
I would never go back!
Relaxed atmosphere, easy going staff, cafe style food. Serves a fantastic Big Breakfast! Open 7 days, breakfast until late. Great for just a coffee or a main meal.
