A busy atmosphere, good decor, friendly service and great night out overall. The beer selection is extensive and the giant pretzel, crackling pork belly and sausage platter are all awesome tatsing.

Great food and atmostphere but pricey and no good value for the spenditure. Of strong note, this restaurant has very good beers and we enjoyed them very much

Such a fun (and rowdy - a good thing!) atmosphere on weekends for dinner! I had a schnitzel which was delicious, and everyone loved the steins of beer!

Great place to eat German food and drink biers with mates on a Friday night or the weekend. The food is really good, I especially like the pork knuckle. Great fun atmosphere too.

The Lowenbrau makes decent food and drinks. Their pork knuckle is very good. It is the perfect place for a birthday dinner because the tables cater for bigger parties. The range of biers is exceptional.

Food is not too bad, beer is amazing, but the quantity is way higher than the quality. Service is generally not too friendly and will just do the bare minimum for you.

A really nice place to have dinner, or visit on a bar crawl. Authenticity makes this place loads of fun, with the outfits of the waitstaff and nightly oom-pah music. The Schnapps shots are standard price for the area, but the real gem is their homemade wheat beer! Delicious, and you know you'll be wanting more, so just get the 500mL! Also, the schnitzel is amazing, and the pretzels are a nice starter, served fresh and warm with butter on the side.

Best German restaurant in NSW! Food is amazing, food portions are huge, pricing is extremely reasonable. There crispy pork belly and sauerkraut is the best I've had, and they have an amazing potato salad. Beer options are also fantastic and the stein glasses go down a treat. My Husband and I have travelled to Germany, and visited the amazing beer halls in Munich, and this is as near as it gets to the real thing. Love!

This has to be my favourite place to eat in the rocks hands down. I love their chicken schnitzel and shoestring chips, generous servings. I had my 21st birthday dinner here with family and friends and the service was excellent. There is a great vibe and atmosphere about this place that puts you in a great mood. The food is always fresh and served in a timely manner, great place to come and have a few drinks with your friends. Would recommend this place to everyone. Definetely a must try.

Lowenbrau would have to be the best german restaurant in nsw. The schnitzels, bratwurst and sauerkraut are traditionally made and taste amazing. The atmosphere is lovely and inviting and the staff are so friendly. The big jugs of beers are the icing on the cake. The meals that we ordered were very generous, couldnt eat it all.

Best German restaurant around, every time I visit to Lowenbrau Keller I have a fabulous time. They have a great range of German beers available which are all delicious. I enjoy seeing all the staff in the Bavarian style costumes, it does make the experience feel even more authentic, almost like I am actually visiting Germany. The food can be a tad expensive and bookings are best around Oktoberfest time.

Literally the best German restaurant around. Nothing better than booking this place around Oktoberfest time. The atmosphere is awesome, especially with the German band playing in the background. Even if you just want to turn up for a beer and sit out in the beer garden this place is fantastic. A little expensive but you'd have to expect that being in the middle of The Rocks.

After seeing reviews for this place, I went out of my way to find it recently when I was in Sydney. Its just an awesome experience, of a genuine German atmosphere. Huge beers, huge meals, and everything is authentic and a unique range.

Prices can be a bit much, but its an awesome place to spend a few hours if you have an extra $120 in your wallet. I can safely say myself, and a handful of friends all enjoyed the experience.

I've only got great things to talk about this place.
First of all, the food was quite quality, great ingredients, generous proportion too.

Price is also reasonable, for the food and the service you get I believe the place offers great value.

Friendly staff also made an impression. We did visit during the slower hours, but no doubt the service was above average.

I'd recommend this place for sure.

This is a great place to go and to try something new.
The food is all German style (pork knuckles, schnitzels etc) and from my experiences it's always cooked really well.
They offer a wide range of German beers which generally has something for most peoples taste (wheat beers, dark beers, light beers, wines and schnapps as well for the non beer drinkers)
A 1 litre beer costs about 18 bucks from memory so if you have a few of those and a meal you're looking around the 100 buck mark to give you an idea. Make sure you have a booking or go at a quiet time, as they do end up with a decent line out the front.

This is a German Theme Bar. Waitresses wear tradational dress. Really like this bar but very expensive. $11 for a 1/2 and $22 for a 1 ltr of german beer. The large Pretzel are a must.

Good Place for dinner and a bit of the old country home cooking, though I am as German as I am the pope.

If you want to experience the true European/ German atmosphere this is definitely a place to go.
You will be served by staff in traditional German costumes and you can enjoy a nice cold bier from the original glass.

Prices are reasonable for a CBD location.
