Witnessed several "security" lay into a group of patrons outside the premises, knocking over a young woman and continued to throw punches and hit people out onto the road. Absolutely brutal and unnecessary. Time to get rid of the control freaks with bad tempers who they have employed there. Was awful to see.
NOT EVEN WORTH A STAR AT ALL!
We went to this restaurant Thursday afternoon but before that we called and asked for booking, but the person said no need to make booking and walk in is welcome.
Turns out walk ins aren’t welcome at all !!!!!!!I know it’s busy but someone could’ve even point us on some direction on where to sit! Or even when we found a sitting someone could’ve even CLEAN THE TABLE !!! We waited for like 15mins and asked for someone to clean and nothing no one was even minding us!! We just left!!!
My husband asked for help to clean the table and the supervisor even said “I can’t leave the area the hot food is the priority”. Like wow!! Totally unacceptable so what about the paying customer? Really? Is this how you treat customer? I know it’s busy and all but don’t be so rude!!!!
Bad customer service and unwelcoming!!
Not recommendable! Customer service is the most important of all food business!
A beautiful position with great atmosphere. Unfortunately I found some of the young males behind the bar especially, quite arrogant, unhelpful and it spoilt the overall evening really!
The problem I found with this restaurant is that the staff are very undertrained, which isn’t their fault, that reflects on poor management, no manners, service is below average, unprofessional traits such as wearing sunglasses on head, hands In pockets moping around. I wish I could post a picture of how pathetic my burger was, it was half a piece of chicken across a bun, and chips were over salted. Very disappointing to see from such a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location by the river !
Not worth the money paid $$$

A pleasant atmosphere to enjoy lunch. Meals were tasty, service staff friendly and the ambience makes this an enjoyable venue for lunch. QR code for ordering was a little problematic but this was resolved amicably. The staff involved in this matter went beyond my expectation and demonstrate a commitment to service.
Not a good experience..very pricey and waited so long for my order ,had to ask a few times as my friends who ordered after me had finished their meals before my entree even came out ,then one lady came out and wanted to see proof that I ordered garlic bread ,lucky my friend was able to access the history on my phone and pull the order up ..she stormed off and did not apologise at all and my whole dinner and entree came out at same time ..would not recommend at all ,they need to get their act together.
Was a great night out -was upset when it burnt down as i lost some work through this place-was a great place to meet new people and enjoy bands...
i loved this place soo unique and a great place to go..such a historical part of penrith..one time there was a formal dress expo held there that i went to it was soo lovely the way the dresses were setup in such an amazingly beautiful setting..it was devastating when it burnt down...love it
I remember the day it burnt down! I was crying! This was one of the nicest pubs! You could sit outside and look at Nepean river. I use to go when my friend was a dj there, and the atmosphere was so friendly, the staff and the people that went. And the food and drinks were very fairly priced.
I loved this place before it burnt down, it had great bistro food and atmosphere, and the view is awesome. I hope they don't rebuild it to be like all the other pubs around cause it had a great relaxed vibe to it and was very cosy. Fingers crossed!

This was a nice spot for a Sunday lunch with the girls, right on the river. The food wasn't anything special but not bad for the price we paid. The staff were great and I found the place quite cute and old fashioned inside.
Approximate cost: $16.00
On a hot sunny summer's day this is the best place in Penrith to be. Sitting outside on the grass or at a table overlooking the Nepean River with a beer, listening to some live music.
