While the business is relatively new, it is backed by almost 10 years of experience in the finance and mortgage industry.
What guarantees or warranties do you offer, if any?
As mortgage broking is a professional service, we do not offer guarantees on loan approval, interest rates or lending outcomes. Every application is subject to lender assessment and approval criteria. What we do guarantee is clear communication, professional service, transparent recommendations and ongoing support throughout the home loan process. We are committed to acting in our clients best interests and helping them make informed financial decisions.
What is your level of experience in this line of work?
With almost 10 years of experience in the finance and mortgage industry, I have worked across almost every facet of the home loan process. What makes you unique compared to your competitors?
What sets Loan Theory apart is the combination of industry experience and a genuine focus on education. With almost 10 years in the finance industry, I have worked as a mortgage broker, led broker support teams, managed operations, and worked in product and technology roles. This gives me a unique understanding of how lenders, brokers and loan processes work behind the scenes.
I believe clients make better decisions when they understand their options, so I focus on clear communication, personalised guidance and ongoing support. My goal is not just to help you secure a home loan, but to be a trusted resource throughout your entire home loan journey.
What insurance do you hold, and what value are you covered for?
Loan Theory holds Professional Indemnity Insurance as required under Australian credit licensing and industry regulations. This insurance provides protection for clients and the business in relation to professional services and advice provided as part of our mortgage broking activities.
How quickly can work be completed? What are your turnaround times? Do you offer same-day service?
Turnaround times vary depending on the type of loan, lender requirements and how quickly supporting documents are provided. In many cases, initial borrowing capacity assessments and strategy discussions can be completed on the same day. Once all required documents are received, most loan applications can be submitted within 1 to 2 business days. Throughout the process, we keep clients informed and work to progress applications as efficiently as possible.
Do you have a favourite client story you'd like to share?
One client story that stands out involved a family who were struggling with a large amount of high interest unsecured debt and were at risk of losing their home. We spent almost 12 months working together to find a solution that would improve their situation.
We were able to consolidate their debts into their home loan, which immediately improved their cash flow by more than $4,500 per month and gave them the breathing room they desperately needed. While the initial home loan interest rate was not the lowest available in the market, the overall cost was still significantly lower than continuing with the existing unsecured debts.
The best part of the story came 12 months later. After the clients demonstrated a strong repayment history and improved their financial position, we were able to refinance them to a more competitive interest rate. This further reduced their repayments and lowered the total interest they were expected to pay over the life of the loan.
Seeing the relief and confidence return to their lives is a reminder that mortgage broking is not just about interest rates. Sometimes it is about creating a pathway back to financial stability and helping people keep the home they worked so hard to build.
Do you have any special offers? Do you offer any bulk or volume discounts?
Loan Theory does not offer special discounts, concessions, cashback offers or volume-based pricing. However, we are always monitoring lender promotions, cashback campaigns and special offers that may be available from time to time. Where a promotion is suitable for a clients circumstances and aligns with their needs and objectives, we will absolutely discuss it as part of the loan recommendation process.
