When was your business founded?

Little Scholars School of Early Learning was established in October 2014. Our Ormeau 2 campus is part of a family-owned Queensland network of 17 early learning centres across South East Queensland.

What is your level of experience in this line of work?

Our team draws on more than 10 years of Little Scholars experience, delivering nursery, toddler and kindergarten programs at Ormeau 2 with the backing of ongoing training and educational leadership.

What certifications, qualifications or awards has your business received?

We're ACECQA-approved and Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approved, operating as a regulated service under Australia's National Quality Framework. Our Ormeau 2 educators include qualified early childhood educators and degree-qualified teachers.

What is your fee structure like? Fixed fees? Hourly rates?

Daily fees, not hourly. Most families are eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which reduces the out-of-pocket amount based on income and activity. We help families understand their likely subsidy before they enrol.

Are you a member of any professional / industry associations?

Yes, we're aligned with the Australian Childcare Alliance, the peak body for the sector. The group's founder serves as Vice President of ACA.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Seeing children across the Ormeau and Coomera area grow in confidence and curiosity every day and lightening the after-hours load for local families is what we love most.

What makes you unique compared to your competitors?

Our Family Time Program goes further than most Ormeau childcare centres: in-house chef prepared take-home meals at pickup, on-site haircuts, doctor, dental and allied health appointments, extracurricular activities at no extra cost, nappies and wipes supplied, and a daily digital portfolio via our parent app designed to give families their evenings and weekends back.

Tours can usually be booked within a day or two, and we'll confirm available days quickly. Start dates depend on room availability and your preferred days we'll tell you honestly at the tour rather than after you've committed.
