The only thing I would recommend about this place is that you give it a miss. Plenty of better places to spend your money.
I drive out of my way to get my morning coffee from Lip. The staff are friendly and the coffee is the best around.

I ordered one coffee. It had no flavour; it was take-away but no matter! I paid extra for soy milk so. I was so disappointed - if they(the owner) can't do coffee well enough he should have gotten someone else to do it! I will never return to this place. I got such a bad impression of Lip despite my desire to support local businesses. But oh well!
I feel exactly the same way
Great funky cafe off the track of Ivanhoe, easy parking right outside. The cafe looks small but there is a back area behind the kitchen and a courtyard as well.
Good coffee, toy box for the kids and great service from the waitresses. We were greeted immediately and served with a smile. We sat behind the kitchen but was not forgotten. Breakfast was a small serve but enough for us. I had the mini lip with potato rosti extra. I did not like the rosti though, I found it was not crispy and thin enough. Poached eggs were perfect and dukkah complimented the avo on toast.
