Le Cornu Furniture Adelaide

My review is not about the quality of the furniture but about the absolute horrendous customer service and delivery of goods. Many people warned me to steer clear of Lecornu if I wanted my furniture in a timely manner and shared horror stories, some friends waited 3 months for a bed! Despite the suggestions, I found a couch I loved and immediately put down a $300 deposit. I was told by the salesperson that the couch would arrive to the store within a week then I would be contacted to complete the transaction and delivery details. Two weeks later I still hadn't received a call so I rang the store to enquire. There were no apologies given when they told me it would be another two weeks before it even got to the store. I waited two more weeks and still no call, nothing. I rang again and this time was told to wait one more week and I asked the likelihood of this estimated date to be pushed back yet again and the customer service rep said it was very unlikely. So after not hearing back at the end of the following week (at this point a month after original estimated delivery) I called YET AGAIN. This time someone told me it wouldn't arrive until this time the next month. No apologies were offered, or incentives to shop there again, pretty much seemed like they didn't care and were accustom to these kind of complaints. Essentially I demanded a $50 gift card, which they reluctantly agreed to, but we'll see if that ever arrives in the mail. I also asked to speak to a supervisor and my request was denied. I ended up canceling my order and they happily lost out on a $1,000 sale. I've never encountered such an unprofessional company, I highly advise you to shop elsewhere, especially if you are moving to a new home and need new furniture within a reliable time frame. I now have to start over on my search for a couch after living in an apartment without one for over a month. The wait wasn't the worst part for me, what really frustrated me was consistently being brushed off by Lecornu employees and them promising a new date weekly. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Good Luck!

Great place to find something that not all other furniture shops stock. We looked for a princess bed everywhere and this was the only place in Adelaide who stocked them, that we could find. The did us a good discount and were very helpful. Love their variety of stock.

i love this place! i always have and always will! i remember coming here when i was a kid and loving the ball pit. the quality of the furniture is good, the prices are good. the service is fantastic, they lend you their trailers, and they even help you place your goods in your car. i cant recommend this place more!

I just bought a new mattress. I could have bought one a little cheaper elsewhere, but Le Cornu stock better quality than some of their competitors and offer trusted brands at decent prices.

I am not a fan of no-name brand furniture sold 'cheap' because it falls apart after a short use. I'd rather pay a little extra and get something to last a few years!

The only problem was that the staff member who served me seemed pretty unmotivated to make the sale, and was a bit frustrating. But it was worth it to get what I wanted!!

We've been to Le Cornu quite a few times and enjoy browsing around. Bought a 3+2 seater lounge and a basic mattress when they were on sale. Took me a while to get someone to help me out, but once they were onto us, they were very helpful. I feel their usual prices are quite high and it is much better to wait for a sale or times when they are marked down. They have an immense variety of furniture and you can get lost. Like their room arrangement and ideas.
Don't forget to look at their As-Is section and see if you can score a bargain. I see now that they have a cafe and have a new look.
When we went to pick up our lounge and mattress, we ran into a problem - although we were told that the item was at their store, apparently it was still in their warehouse. They quickly sorted it out by offering free delivery which was very thoughtful of them!

Have been here many times over the years as they usually have a good selection of furniture. Not too pricey and staff are happy to assist you but also leave you alone if needed! It would be good to see less emphasis/advertising on purchasing leather I feel. The cashier section is horrendously hot in this warm weather; I felt sorry for the staff!

A huge warehouse showroom, with heaps of furniture to choose from. Dozens of room layouts displaying the furniture are helpful to visualize the pieces in an actual home.
The prices are pretty good, with a selection from cheap starter pieces, right through to more expensive, quality items.
Lots of homewares as well, like cushions, lamps, outdoor furniture, rugs, occasional furniture and bedding.
We have used this store many times, most recently to furnish our daughters new unit. We went in with our trailer, and quite an extensive list, and left that same day with all the items we wanted, and at a price we were happy with. The staff were very helpful, loading up our items from the warehouse area, with packaging, and helping us load onto our trailer.
A day that we were expecting to be long and tedious, turned out to be pleasantly successful.

Good range to look, staff are helpful. The store starting to show its age and may need to be refreshed. Lots of parking, and easy to get your trailer in. Or get them to deliver

Went there looking for a bed come out with a whole bed room suite. Very good service and prices are good too.

Bought a few things from Le Cornu. Found that staff are friendly willing to help you find what you are looking for. Lots of car park. Good quality selection of furniture for the hole house.

Large store in Keswick and lots of variety of furniture but is quite dated and may need refurbishing inside. Large car-park which is good and great location.

Its a large store with a range of items. They have a coffee shop there too and if you buy an item they offer you a trailer free of charge to take it home with. I personally wasn't happy with the customer service there the staff seemed hopeless and unsure of what was going on and the lack of communication was horrendous. That being said they do offer furniture at cheap prices so it depends what your looking for.

very nice and friendly staff willing to help. great prices. we use lecornu alot for our furniture as we just bought some nice dining room chairs and now looking to buy a sofa.

A huge range to choose from to suit all budgets. The staff were very helpful, but as soon as you were seen alone, it was as if they would pounce to see if they could help you which is annoying after the first couple of times.

The staff know their products and answer all questions with confidence, without trying to put the hard sell on.

We are very happy with the entertainment unit we bought, but being flat pack and so large, it was very complicated to build.

Service was dreadful. mis-quoted three times (increased quote each time) then salesman got huffy that I insisted the stuck with third quote. Changed time of installation despite me booking two months ahead to get a specific day

We have used Lecornu for a range of things over the years, most recently for a couch. They were able to have a wonderful range, that met our budget. Delivery was easily arranged and only for a small fee. Its worth noting that they have a range of scratch and dent furniture at reduced rates also!

love their deals, customer service is good too and quality of the products is awesome .i love it because you get lots of choices before you decide. one thing i do not like is you can not browse by yourself there because you will be asked for help thousand times by their staff..which is irritating for me sometime......i love to look around first.
