Appalling! :-( Today I popped in to see the Dojo and to look around and ask some questions. Never have I met a person so rude and uninterested in a potential customer. At first, he was all smiles, but as soon as I said I was not sure about joining, he became completely uninterested in me and suddenly said that he was "too busy to talk to me any further" Wow! Never mind that it was for my CHILDREN that I was enquiring about. He never asked and quite frankly I would not want my children around this man.
Mate, you need to learn some manners and take a minute or 2 to talk to anyone who makes the effort to walk into your business. How you treat people on the first visit tells them a lot about how they may be treated in the future. I will certainly look for a more friendly Dojo than this one now, and if you are contemplating joining this club, I suggest you do too!!
The most important thing when practicing any martial art is to find a dojo/gym with a healthy culture, and this is what you'll find at KaratePerth. Whether it's junior or adult classes, new students are welcomed as a friend, and surrounded by individuals with a shared goal to better themselves mentally and physically. This friendly environment is well balanced with a disciplined work ethic and fierce physical training. Highly recommended for absolutely anybody.
Been with Karateperth for over ten years, excellent instructor who is both skilled and passionate, and so much fun!! Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone looking to stay fit and enjoy themselves while doing so!

This is a world class place to learn Karate. Shihan Ben is an outstanding and highly experienced instructor who will push you to be the best version of yourself. All ages are catered for. Thanks to Shihan Ben, I was able to attain my second Dan black belt in my forties. Highly recommended to all.
Eight years on and I am still a proud member of the Greenwood dojo. In addition to being a member of a local club, there is something special about being a part of something bigger. Knowing there are people world wide learning this self same discipline with its roots in Japan is a big part of the appeal.
Our son started with Shihan Ben (Karate Greenwood) when he was 6 years old. Now 10 years later he has not only developed a high level of discipline, respect, self esteem, self defence techniques and knowledge of the graceful art of Goju Kai. He has also successfully represented Australia in World Championships and Asian Pacific Tournaments. The whole training ethos of Shihan Ben has ensured this level of achievement. Shihan Ben is fun, challenging and motivating and amazing at what he does! He likes to pass on his endless knowledge and help everyone as much as he can! The classes are very well structured, always enjoyable with good variety and other class members are always friendly and helpful. A great family commitment for exercise, self defence and a sense of achievement.
My daughter attends and just recently i joined as well after being impressed with the level of professionslism, dedication and general openness from Ben. Despite feeling sore and sorry for myself after each session, it's so enjoyable I thoroughly recommend.
Goju-Kai Karate is a recognised International Organisation. Japanese Karate at it's best. The Instructor (Ben Shihan) at this Dojo is great with children and obviously knows his art.
He's had a great influence on my children.
