The Iris staff were so great with my wife. She is pregnant and was really nervous about getting her first pregnancy scan, but they really put her mind at ease - and mine!!
Dr Emechete was amazing and out me right at ease for my first ever ultrasound guided injection.
They fit me in really quickly when I was in pain and needed a cortisone shot. I've had treatment in the past where the doctor didn't quite get the needle in the right spot, but this time was spot on! A lot cheaper than most other services too - I checked!
They were really great with my son who had a fracture. He was in a lot of pain but the staff put him right at ease and made the process a lot quicker and easier than it would have been dealing with a lot of other services.
I'm not from the Gold Coast, but I was working here and hurt my ankle pretty badly. The Iris team were able to help get me into a local GP right away and they do the x-ray straight afterwards, saving me a trip to the hospital. They really helped me.
I was pregnant with our first child and had my very first scan recently with iris. my husband couldn't be there as he was away in quarantine due to Covid. Obviously this made me really sad and anxious, but the team were so sweet and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process, so it was still a really special moment:)
The staff made me feel completely at ease. Being an older gentlemen, I am finding medical procedures get a bit tiring and stressful these days, but they really went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and at ease.
I hurt my wrist recently and was in a tremendous amount of pain and can not thank the staff enough for being so caring and wonderful throughout the ordeal! Also, I had had a previous scan elsewhere and the hairline fracture was not picked up, despite every indication there was a fracture, which was frustrating, having to go for a second scan, but I'm glad I did, because the Iris team did such a thorough job:)
If You are a mum that cares about a good experience meeting your baby on your 20 weeks scan, definitely recommend go elsewhere.
I had the worst experience in this place located Helensvale last week, first of all I'm not an australian citizen, so all the expenses its coming from my own pocket. AU$170 for a scan its not cheap at all, for having someone so [redacted clinical content] and so rude doing my ultrasom. This Lady, [redacted clinical content], and when she realised how pissed off I was, she kind of tried explaining herself that she needs to concentrate. EXCUSE ME? [redacted clinical content] The process took over 1 hour, [redacted clinical content] they even get me a CD that I couldn't open it. The staff and place are so bad, that even when I was paying, the lady in the front desk has to took money for my change from her own wallet. Thats ridiculous! the worst place ever!!!! the worst service ever!!!
I will NEVER return, i haven't ever been treated so badly by a business. I would not recommend to anyone, especially young expecting mothers.
I had an ultrasound done to find out the duration of my first pregnancy, the man who performed the ultrasound tried to shut my partner out of the room and was not impressed that i wanted him present, after this he didn't speak a word to me the entire procedure. After the ultrasound i was pretty upset due the fact i thought that my first ultrasound would be a nice experience, when i brang it up with the lady at reception (who i later found out was the owner & manager) i was immediately shut down & told that it was "not his job to talk to me, or hold my hand". I left there in tears, and was hoping i wouldn't have the deal with them again.
A few days later when i spoke to my doctor, she told me the report they generated at Iris imaging said i wasn't pregnant at all, i then called Iris Imaging and asked to speak to the owner.
I asked her why no body had said anything to me and why a Vaginal ultrasound wasn't done when there was no sign of the baby... the manager/Owner responded by screaming at me through the phone and telling me repeatedly: "You need to go back to school, and learn something" "Grow some brains" "you're stupid" "You're only 21" "didn't your mother ever teach you anything" "its not my problem" then she hung up on me.
First visit: misdiagnosis on ultrasound
Second visit: Transvaginal ultrasound - arrived to appointment on time with a full bladder as required. 45 mins later, approached reception as I was feeling quite ill and needed an update on wait time, just said should be shortly. Approached reception 2nd time (waiting for 1hr 15 mins) and asked for my referral back as I'm going elsewhere and not coming back. She said nothing, and left reception and that's when a male employee called my name. Also, he did the transvaginal procedure with no female present, so not sure whether a female is suppose to be in room or not? Do not recommend and won't be going back.
Approximate cost: $Medicare
I had the exact same experience! Obviously it wasn't just me! The results were so unclear, my specialist sent elsewhere so he could get an acurate xray/ultrasound!
Not a radiology company that I would recommend , The service was okay - The error's they made was not good they put the wrong DOB on my records the sonographer did not double check that my age was correct and having to come back the next day to collect your
films/report is un-exceptable ! Having worked in this sector patients should be allowed to go with the films and reports forwarded to the doctor concerned. Also the doctor was not that informative on questions that I wanted to know ?
Will not return : (
my husband had to have a bone densitometry it was to be covered by medi care but not we were told on arrival and no appointment needed we were told not true you need to book a day not a good experience and expensive
