This shop is good, one of the only to open on Christmas. The prices are also reasonable on most items, there are some items that are a little overpriced. Customer service is generally amicable. Overall however this store does their best to compete with the major supermarket chains and that is what counts to me.
I like supporting the little people, more than the big chains like coles and woolworths. The store is small, and parking can be difficult - but the service sure makes up for this. On Easter, I was trying to find a candy Easter Egg - and the man I got on the phone, saved my time by calling all the other stores to see if he could find one. Was very amazed, as you don't get service like this anymore!
The specials are amazing, and the range of local / Australian goods is far higher than coles/woolworths.
I find IGA a good place to shop in - the staff are really helpful and courteous, the specials each week are often far better than the bigger supermarkets and parking is so easy. Perhaps not the store I would do all of my weekly shopping from but still good value.
Agree with the not suitable for the weekly shop! However, as you state - the specials are amazing!
I found the IGA to be a little expensive on some items, namely high turnover items such as milk. Also not a lot of variety however this is to be expected as it is only a small supermarket, more like a big convenience store. I would not do my regular shopping there but to pick up a couple of items it is always cheaper than going to a petrol station or deli. Some of the staff are quite friendly but the majority look like they don't want to be there.

The products they sell are seriously overpriced!! I went to buy some broccoli, and they are selling it for $8.99k while Cole's is selling it for 3.99k. They are a total rip off and their fruit and veges are not fresh.

The store presentation is clean, tidy & well presented. The store has a good range of products. Staff members are polite, friendly & happy to assist with any enquiries. There are regular specials available on a frequent basis.
