Cool pub to meet mates with decent food. Get there on a Sunday when donkey on the edge are playing. Dog freindly.
Enjoyed a delicious Sunday dinner at Hobsons recently. It was by far the best lamb roast and veggies that I have ever had. I also tried Hobson's own draught beer which is on tap, and it is very good. I can see myself coming back for many a Sunday dinner, particularly in the winter, as it would be a very cosy spot.
Love this place. I've been here twice now - once for a friends function and last weekend with my husband. The food is excellent and its got a great atmosphere. Good service, but down to earth. A lovely place - nice and cosy for a cold, winters night. The menu is pretty broad so something for everyone, but having said that, the dishes we had were both excellent. Also a good place to take kids (the earlier you go, the cheaper the kids meals).
