went here for a uni sport function, not bad great position facing the waterfront alcohol was decent and seats were plentiful

okay tasting food served by nice staff as well, and there's heaps of space to fluff around and socialize

A fun atmosphere, the lighting was a bit dark but at night it wasn't too bad a place to catch up with some friends. The food was average, the usual pizza and wedges, but the cocktails were great!

I have been to helm bar for our annual work christmas party. we had drinks and some sort of canapes. One thing I agree with the previous comment is that the oriental sweet tart is yum ! prices are typical darling harbour prices and the drinks pretty average !

Great tasting steaks accompanied with excellent sauce/gravy options. Shoe string chips are an excellent side. More bar stool seating than I would prefer upstaris, but the atmosphere and location is superb.

This place can get pretty packed during weekday lunch hours, meaning there's good atmosphere. However the food is very pricey and not that great. I had a grilled fish of the day with chips and it was pretty bad. I'd recommend the pizzas instead. If you're price conscious, ask for the specials for the day.

The last time i went to helm bar i had the christmas party held by my work company. we had the whole floor booked. the view is awesome and the staff are very nice. drinks are like any other average place. the downside for me was the music , too much r and b and rap

My friend and i after work on friday night booked a table for helm bar when we arrived there was no booking for us and we got stuck on a wobbly old table with other peoples dirty old galsses on there. The food I thought was over priced for the quality of the meals probably wont go back there for a meal again the view is nice about the only thing i liked

I spent Melbourne Cup here and it was so much fun!! The packages on offer were great value for money, plenty of canapes and good bar service. Excellent venue in terms of style and location and the bar staff were really friendly! Will be back for after work drinks and would like to try lunch or dinner.

I was actually suprised to read the negative reviews on WOMO for this Bar. I've been here a handful of times and have loved the music and atmosphere each time. The location is nice and food is yummo! $5 drinks Saturday night is also a bonus. If you dont enter before their allocated time, entry can be a bit expensive

The view over the harbour is great but with the poor service and food, there isn't much appeal. There could be a lot of improvement.

It's very quiet at this bar.

It is located at a very nice area, with a very beautiful view of the harbour.

However, it's really dead...and so there isn't much of an atmosphere.

Tried to eat here recently, we had no acknowledgment, no service.
It was like we were invisible
Service/Staff uniforms/ Care factor NONE!
