Haven is a place that helps out people who are struggling financially with accommodation, budgeting assistance, and food.

We know a couple of people living in Haven houses, and they are lovely places. The rent is calculated on a percentage of your income.

Very helpful. They help out with accomodation and money if homeless or needing help. Very lovely people, great company and extremely friendly. If you need help with those regards then give them a call or go in.

We were on the waiting list for affordable housing with Haven for a period of time before they called us to offer a property. Being on low income and at the mercy of the private rental market and greedy ruthless real estate agents is a constant battle so we were delighted to be offered a quality unit in a good area, at an affordable price.

To say we are grateful to Haven is an understatement as we will be very happy in our new place we can finally call home and to have pride in what we have. We are now happy in the knowledge we finally have long term accommodation security after having bad experiences with real estate agent property managers through no fault of our own.

If you are on a low income and having issues with housing affordability, you can't go past giving Havens friendly professional staff a call to discuss your circumstances.

I know a worker there and they do offer great services, they try and help the best they can, they even helped me get a temporary place when I was stuck on the streets, they are worth a visit if you're in need.

This is a wonderful organisation! My daughter's friend was kicked out of home at 17, and Haven provided her with housing until she was able to get onto her own two feet. The housing is subsidised and cheap for the kids to afford. They also helped her with food and support.
Basically, you make an appointment to see them, and they find you short term/medium term accommodation at reduced rent. The kids paid $100 a fortnight and received a weekly visit from a support worker, as well as assistance with applications to the housing department.

Approximate cost: $FREE for advice.

I found Heaven so helpful. They helped friends with a brand new home in a very short time period. It's suitable for disable people, as was asked of them, so it tick's all the right box's for them.
They helped fill in all the forms and kept them informed of what was happening.
The Unit is in a fantastic location for them with close public transport and milk bar across the way for those unexpected emergency's.
Rent is Cheap, they are very lucky.

Found that these people have been very helpful to us in getting us a place to live in Bendigo area. Applied in May 2011 and were allocated a place in December 2011. We love the location we are in and the townhouse that we got. So close to all amenities especially Public Transport on 6 days a week.
