Best place for kids activities. My kids had the best day ever to know more about animals.

Wife, daughter, her husband and granddaughter and myself were there all ANZAC afternoon. The Animals looked in very good condition and well looked after, Information Boards were well visible simple and very informative. The displays of reptiles and milking were well presented and with humour. Interaction with all the staff was excellent which made the visit all the more enjoyable. Every child smiled and interacted with the animals. We WILL be going back - with more of the family.

The Hahndorf Farm Barn is a great family day, our young kids absolutely loved it and even my teenaged stepson had a great day.
We packed a picnic lunch, but they also had an undercover BBQ area that would have been nice to have used also.

We watched a cow be milked, and the boys quite liked the Reptile Show.
The kids had the the chance to snuggle some rabbits, guinea pigs, baby chickens plus pet plenty of others which they are still talking about days later.

The staff were welcoming and really set a nice relaxed atmosphere, plus the drive through the beautiful Adelaide Hills is nice also .. I would suggest anyone in the area with young kids have a visit here, it was quite cheap I think it cost us around $40 for our whole family!

This is a great family outing that doesn't cost the earth. My children had an amazing time, and its an experience they won't forget. A farm environment that gives kids of all ages the hand on experience. They held a farm show where we were given a chance to milk a cow, feed the baby lambs and learn about all the animals. These are held twice daily at 11am and again at 2pm. The wildlife show was great, these are held on weekends at 12.30pm. We were introduced to owls, lizards and even a snake(non venomous of course). My daughter squealed with delight when she held the lizard and the snake, it was an amazing experience for the kids to learn so much and the hands on approach really was enjoyable. Inside the huge barn, pens full of baby lambs, goats, chickens and guinea pigs were available for petting. The children could climb in and actually have a cuddle with any of these beautiful babies. Outside is a more open area where you can walk through the enclosure with kangaroos, wallabies, ponies, ducks and emus. And able to feed them all. Food is available from the staff. BBQ facilities are there for those who want a full day, and are situated among beautiful gardens. The kiosk sells coffee for the parents and other refreshments. A new eddition is the pony rides that are held on the weekends between 11.30 and 2.30pm. Costs are : $10 child, $11 student or conc, $13 adult and $39 family. A great day that doesn't blow the budget. I'll definately be going back.

Great activity for kids holidays. It is a little expensive but kids got to pat animals and see a display on reptiles (as well as pat them - urgh!). Great staff.

A massive 'THANKYOU' for the awesome day we had at the farm barn last saturday. The staff were brilliant!!! so welcoming to us and all our guests, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone commented on what an amazing set up you have and how the children were all free to explore and be themselves. Marika was great, it's easy to see why she works there- a great chick with a crazy sense of humour and plenty of fun!
We will be back to visit and enjoy the unique little set up you have going on!

This is a fantastic place to take the kids. I am a teacher and have been here on numerous school excursions and the children love it! They are able to see the animals up close and ask the qualified and knowledgable staff questions and chat about farm life.

We are regular visitors to The Farm Barn and it is a firm favorite on our List Of Things To Do. Situated at Hahndorf, it makes for a simply divine day out for the whole family. Since the new owners have taken over, it has simply gotten better and better each time we go.

The staff are gorgeous and are wonderful with both kids and adults. The owners are involved and friendly and welcoming. With new experiences and animals going on all the time, my kids never get bored (looking forward to seeking the new baby owls soon too!) Animal feedings - kangaroos, emus, lambs, rabbits, guinea pigs, Patting baby chicks, milking the cow, holding reptiles, patting all kinds of farm animals - so much to do!!

And us adults also have a great time feeding the animals and getting involved - no sitting down clock-watching and waiting for kids to finish, adults will find this fun too.

Lovely hands on experience for anyone who loves farm animals. The place isn't huge or flash,but the owners are lovely and accommodating and the kids will love getting up close to animals such as lambs, ducks, deer, kangaroos, goats, rabbits and more. Family pass is approx $40. An experience that beats an enclosed zoo anyday!!

We had my daughters 6th birthday at Hahndorf Farm Barn on Sunday 2nd of September. We had 12 children, fully catered for 3 hours & were allowed to stay & play longer as well!! All of the kids had a great time & we did too!!
You guys are doing a fantastic job and I think it is amazing that there is a place such as yours so close to the city where "city kids" can come to interact with farm animals, especially since so many of them don't even have any pets.
All of the kids loved feeding the animals and milking the cow & quite a few asked if they could take the guinea pigs and rabbits home.
Our hosts were fantastic, and not once did I see a single one of the kids sulking or sitting down. We had alot of warn out kids that were early to bed that night.

I will be taking all interstate visitors (especially the ones with littlies) here for a fantastic experience.

We have been to Hahndorf Farm barn every year with our Japanese Students and our own kids for the last 5 years. They all love it there. Milking the cows, holding the snakes and lizards and hands on bottle feeding the lambs were just some of the things the kids tell people about the most. The staff are really friendly and very patient with the kids and parents. This year we had my son's birthday there and were very happy with their facilities and it was great that the kids could just be kids and run around to feed and touch the animals as they pleased. This is definitely the most positive experience we have had as a family and best price for a full day of fun. Thank you Hahndorf Farmbarn!

A great place to take the kids. I've been there for 3 birthday parties now and each time we've had very good service. He staff are patient with the littlies and their experience with the animals is very hands on.

Great place to have birthday party's. We already had 2 birthday party's and also invited to others. The staff are friendly and make kids feel special. Kids have lots of fun on there special day.

Our school organized 3 classes to go there for excursion. Our children loved it. Staff there were very nice and friendly.

Was a great treat for the kids as they were able to milk the young lamb, play with the bunnies and hold little chicks. Was a pleasant outing. Only downer is probably the entry cost, but hey if it means keeping the place running then it's well worth it.

I cannot fault this place. It's a great drive up and well worth it. Kids and adults alike will love the farm barn. It can be hands on or you can just sit back with a great coffee and chat the the fantastic owners and their staff. We go several times a year and are never disappointed. The kids parties are son good & so easy
