Goodwood Park Hotel (The Goody)

Recently went to the Goodwood Park Hotel and selected a schnitzel as it was schnitzel night (12) . I chose to have a chicken version and it was golden and well cooked. Nice hotel and look forward to trying another item soon.

Had lunch here with a few work colleagues, unfortunately we didn't have enough time for an entree as I would have ordered the coffin bay oysers. Two of us ordered the seafood basket and the rest, steak. i liked the presentation of my seafood basket, the salt and pepper squid were perfect, my fish was overdone, a bit dry. But beside that, everyone enjoyed their meals and we found the staff to be quite friendly and attentive. We will return.

Their tasting platter was really tasty. The salt and pepper squid, the tomato bruschetta and the arancini balls combined with everything else made for an amazing dish. Couple with a bottle of sparkling wine it did the trick.
Good thing about this place was that we were seating next to 2 others who were quiet distracting, they let us move table without us even consulting them. They advised we made a good move because the duo was a regular patron who were always this ill mannered.
I'm glad I came to this place and would love to come here again for the food and the service. Kudos to them.

Hi frequented this place the other week after not going here for many years due to having my child. I was surprised how done up it was stunning, very elegant atmosphere good staff nice although a complaint would be beers and drinks little pricey but ok. Nice place to go to away from the city

The snittys at The Goody are probably one of my favourites. You dont sit there waiting ages for your meal to arrive, its quick to order and out to your table not too long afterwards. Great beer garden to sit and have a drink with friends and enjoy your meal in the nice weather.

Great meal and service from this hotel. Thought it would be a pub meal but the type of food presented was restaurant quality. Had the beef cheeks Ned they were amazing.

Went for a quick pub style meal but ended up eating in the restaurant part. Had the special which was a beef cheek that had been cooking all day. It was amazing, just fell apart and so tender. Found an aged red to go with it and wow

Thed meals I had was the pork and it was cooked to perfection and my knife just slid though it. Loved the sauce that was served with it. Happy with the service and the extras that we got with the meal

The service and value at this hotel are quite awesome. We only visit about once a year, and each time we are pleasantly surprised. Not a large hotel and yet it is always busy, good staffing levels and great food. My vegieburger (without fetta) was HUGE and yummy and hubby's chicken schnitzel was large and apparently really nice. Affordable dining with a great feel.

I have been here a few times. It is always nice and relaxing atmosphere in the bistro and the food is always delicious, especially lamb shanks! The prices are usual pub prices.

Located opp Showgrounds. Went here for a few drinks while visiting friends in Adelaide. We happened to be there on a pretty quiet Fri night. Great outdoor area and my friends said the meals are good. The service was adequate but not particularly friendly and the music was a strange mix.

The Goody is one of our favourite places to go to on a Sunday. They have a great outdoor area and the food is really good. Unfortunately the $12 roast is so good that I rarely get past that to try anything else.

Well priced meals. Good menu and a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor area is very appealing and the meals have always been enjoyable.

Had dinner there Saturday night. Was reasonably priced and good quality meals. Had the macadamia chicken burger and was delicious. My daughter had nuggets and chips and with that comes an activity pack to keep her busy and ice block at the end. Only complaint was her meal came out way before ours but really in the end was not a bad meal at all.

Love what they have done to the interior. Food was as expected. Nice, simple and reasonable pub meals. Had one of their specials, a chicken and vegie stew on mashed. It was lovely.

Will definitely come back if quick and simple was what I feel like.

Has Excellent service fantastic Staff Friendly environment clean comfortable .The food is fantastic . The menu always varies and a good variety of drinks.

The goody looks fantastic now that it has had a makeover. It's food is as you would expect for a pub and the service is friendly and fairly prompt. We like to head down for the quiz night which is held over dinner time. Pricing is also as you would expect from a similar venue.

Had a Sunday meal at the Goodwood Park hotel last week. Service was quick and the surrounds were quiet and homely for out lunch with friends.Good prices for specials and we were also able to use a 2 for 1 docket that we had. I had calamari and it was a nice meal.

We have eaten at the "Goody" on several occasions and have always been satisfied. The staff are very competent and friendly. We are happy to ask friends to join us.

I go to the hotel about once a month on Mondays for their Monday Steak Special for $12 in the Goody bar out front. Usually it is a rump, but I got a sirloin last night which was a bonus. It comes with chips and a bit a salad. They also have other excellent price specials on other days of the week. Other items on the menu are nice too but are similar in price to other pubs and cafes.

The food is typical pub food, not outstanding but OK. We usually sit in the Goody Bar (front bar) but there is a bistro area (out the back). The staff are usually quite friendly but don't really go out of their way. Last time we went there we were eating our meal (around 7pm) and they were packing up the tables and chairs around us (we think because a band was coming on later), but they certainly didn't try to do it quietly or unobtrusively. The guy doing it really spoiled the atmosphere. We felt like we had to hurry up and eat and get out. We would go there again but only if we didnt have anywhere else to go.
