Make sure you go here on a light stomach as you won't be able to finish your meal. These meals are amazing and the size is just awesome. If you are not a massive eater, I would recommend getting a started between 2 people and then sharing a main.

I love their hot dogs, but its not just your ordinary hot dogs. They have a large variety of toppings which make it even better.

Its a lovely little place with lots of character. Its a great place to take people who are from interstate or overseas.'

They also have a large variety of beers from all over the world, so if you love beer, you need to go here!

If you are hungry then this is the place to go. They offer very generous servings - so much it is hard to finish! Especially enjoyed the Schnitzel (the kids favourite). Friendly staff, a pleasant German atmosphere. The service was a bit slow, but it is understandable when they are so busy. Just remember if you are going there for a meal, go with an empty stomach. Yummy food!!!!

I found this place while on holiday, it was quite busy. I tried there schnitzel which was amazing and came out hot. The hotel has an old German feel, but modern enough to be very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, & I can't wait to return.

Nice dining experience with a nice old German feel, food is good parking is relatively easy in the evenings when we go there. Will go back there again.

This place is great for an old German-Australian dining experience. The decor is a blend of old and modern. The staff here are fantastic and very friendly, and their schnitties are amazing! Loved the trip here.

This is a great hotel which serves authentic german fare. Seating inside and out which is well maintained by friendly staff. It is a large area which seats a large number of people so is nearly always busy. It provides a nice experience in a different atmosphere. The food is always good with large serves.

The German Arms is probably my favourite German restaurant ever.

Huge on atmosphere with massive dining room, mezzanine floor, balcony and street tables.

Favourite lunch - The Arms Giant Hot Dog! (they mean giant, we just share one of these for two people)

Favourite dinner - Rindsrouladen Aged Beef

With a schnapps and a huge tap drawn Lowenbrau Original, fabulous!

Highly recommend trying this place, atmosphere, service and price - spot on!

We paid a visit to Hahndorf, which my friend had never been to before so a visit to the Arms was a must! We had a late lunch of the shared plate which was a pile of every kind of german meat you can imagine! It was great - the platter for two could probably have served 3 or 4. The service was excellent and the ambience fantastic.

I have been there a few times and love the German food. The service has always been good and the staff are friendly. I would go back any day.

My husband and I stayed only one night in the area on our recent trip and had dinner at this hotel and absolutely LOVED IT!

the beer steins were huge and we both managed to drink all our beer!

the meals were amazing! i had german sausages with side of vegies and loved it!

my husband had a mexicana type special chicken parmigiana which was very interesting as it had corn chips, salsa and sour cream topping -yes it was delicious too
