I come from a long line of constipation suffers – my grandmother, my mother, my cousins and a number of my immediate family members have all struggled throughout their lives with ongoing issues related to constipation, so for me this problem seemed inevitable and something I had almost accepted as my fate. After years of visits to conventional doctors resulting in little if any change to my condition, the constant blotted feeling, the heaviness and general ‘discomfort' became my normal and on a day to day basis I just chose to ‘suffer through'. Needless to say, this acceptance led to further discomfort in the form of fissures and poor sleeping patterns but I guess the breaking point came in 2010 when my mother became seriously ill. Over a period of roughly 12 months, Mum, a young 58 year old, basically become incontinent as a result of a lazy bowel, which resulted in her body actually rejecting her bowel. After a series of tests it was revealed that this condition was not aided by years of constipation suffered by my mother – it was right then and there I realized I had to find a way of treating this issue or potentially face a similar future.
I did have my hesitations about Colonic Therapy. Would it be uncomfortable? Would it be embarrassing? Would I get the results I was so desperately needing? My first visit, even after doing my research online, I still felt quite apprehensive – this apprehension however was quickly put as ease. Nadia was extremely calming, professional and reassuring. She explained the procedure in every detail and talked me through what to expect. She was present throughout the process, massaging my torso and generally ensuring I felt relaxed and comfortable at all times. At the end of my session, we talked about diet and alternative remedies to help with the constipation. She also recommended further follow up visits which I booked on the spot.
It's now been roughly 9 months since my first visit to Finding Balance and I can honestly say I have found my cure. I did have my ups and downs throughout this process but as of today, feel my condition as eased almost to the point of non-existence. I cannot explain what an improvement this has made to my day-to-day life. I feel so much healthier, I am sleeping better, have better control over my weight and that bloated, heavy feeling is a thing of the past. Nadia is truly passionate about her business and this is evident from the moment you enter the client, and to her and her staff, I am forever grateful. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience and cannot urge people suffering from constipation to consider this colon therapy as an option. It will help you to find a better kind of normal.
