Three years ago, when Dr Phillip was still at his smaller shop, we gave him a 5-star. He was patient, personable, and humble. But our most recent experience left an extremely sour and bitter taste, sigh … success may have gotten the best of him. Some months back, we made a follow-up appointment for our daughter and as usual, we received a text message for reconfirmation – to which we rescheduled. Presumably, the scheduling work was done by his staff. However, on the original appointment date, we were informed that we didn't turn up and had to be charged $50 for a no-show. We tried to reason with him and even provided evidence of the rescheduling but he became defensive and even forceful on the charge and (this is what really triggered) … he continued his self-defense for his overlook to the point of saying hurtful things that connote – don’t expect special treatment because you think you are loyal customers … What nonsense! We were not even expecting anything and to be accused of being “entitled”… for $50?, engaging in an argument with a loyal customer? (btw the last time I checked, there is still the concept of a customer loyalty program – not to scold your loyal customers). Only after some intense discussion that the $50 be regarded as a credit for future consultation. You tell me, how odd will it be to consult him again face to face? We terminated our relationship and got back a refund.

Philip was very friendly and helpful. He offered excellent after hours advice. We are fortunate to have found him. I would highly recommend Eyecare concepts to young children with vision problems.

Phil was great with kids. He gave very professional advice on how to control their shortsightedness, provided lots of info so you have confidence but wasn't pushy at all. He also checked my eyes very thoroughly as I had concerns for retina detachment. Given our genetic background, it's good to know that my whole family's eyes will be well looked after!
