Extensions Factory

An overall good result with the Extention factory. From the get go we shared the same vision with the design and preliminary drawings, great stuff. The building timeline however was a long ride, engulfed with tradie shortages which postponed the build. Ultimately the build was sound and exactly what we had expected. We would not hesitate in recommending this company to others whilst initially ensuring you have an agreed timeline outlined to avoid any unexpected delays and heartache.

We had a few supervisors along the way , but out main superviser Zac was on the ball helpful always available and quick to respond With any queries . There’ were a few slow moments along the way but the the job was completed on time very professional

Your designer gave me great ideas & was very helpful. We have been considering renovating for the last few years & were very impressed with the finishes at your display home & the quality of the work you do. We are now tossing up whether to continue with the renovation idea or as you suggested look at knockdown rebuild or buying a block & building with your new homes division. We added an upper floor (whilst we continued to live in the house) John our first point of contact was very engaging but once the paper was signed we couldn't contact him. We were then handed over to Aaron our site manager. We had a little problem with communication to begin with but have found that we can now contact him without a problem and he is available to answer any questions. The job is slow due to lack of tradies and trying to get everyones jobs completed. The tradies we have had here have been very professional and their work is great. Looking forward to this job being completed HOPEFULLY in the next couple of months.

We decided to add a second story with 2 bedrooms and a living area. John our first point of contact was very easy and accomodating. Then we're were handed over to our sight manager Aaron and he was wonderful they were done ahead of schedule and we are extremely happy with the job done.

The project took 8 months which was very slow and frustrating. And they were always quick to ask for the next progress payment.
All of the contractors were great and experienced though.
The end result is great.

I'd like to thank Extension Factory for making it possible for our house to add a second storey which consisted of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a rumpus space. They were really professional, we had good communication from the start until the work was finalised. We were really pleased with their work, the project manager was always in touch, the trades did a good job, and there was no interruption to our family life. We were amazed how quickly they did the job and no dirt could be seen in the lawn. We have recommended them to various friends who saw the second storey and are happy to recommend them to others.

With a large family we decided to renovate our home to add two bedrooms, a bathroom and versatile rumpus space. The Extension Factory cost estimate compared favourably with two other quotes from alternative builders. The designer was outstanding - listening to us, also and working with us on a range of items throughout the house to make the extension function with the rest of our home. We entered this project with our eyes open (a must!) - even though we had a very experienced project manager with whom we had a good working relationship, we needed to be on top of many aspects of the project which was always going to be a fairly major interruption to family life for a while. The EF trades completed good quality work with a couple of exceptions. We were frustrated at times by the lack of communication, and the perplexing fact that while there were often delays in getting various trades to complete their bits, there was no delay in invoicing us and asking us for money (in fact invoicing was often premature). Overall the EF delivered what they promised. We are really pleased with the result, and we are happy to recommend the team to others.

The whole process from design to build is structured and professional. We undertook a substantial ground floor extension and the transformation of our home is exactly what we envisaged. We really enjoy spending time in our new home. Extending can be stressful and there are always issues that arise but our site supervisor was very experienced and helped us through the process. We found him to be very honest and easy to talk to. Nothing seemed to faze him.

A complete lack of communication throughout the project, including how things are progressing, why things are not progressing, or when tradespeople are going to show up.

Progress is promised for one week, then cancelled at short notice because something else needs to happen first.

Building materials are delivered months in advance, blocking the driveway, without being used.

Complaints about leaks in the roof caused by building activity are being completely ignored.

Ground floor bedroom, walk-in robe & ensuite extension. Alternative solution for our situation to a granny flat for my aging parents. Sales and design staff were friendly and helpful with our design. The project manager assigned to us (Aaron) was honest, knowledgeable and very accessible. The works were delayed by days due to an unforeseen issue with the doors, but they factored in weather and resourcing perfectly. Extremely happy with the workmanship and what we have achieved overall at the price point we agreed on. Definitely far easier than trying to deal with independent builders as I have in the past.

Do not use this company. Since we signed the contract we've experienced gross incompetence and complete disrespect for us and our home. Cannot stress enough that I warn people against using this company as I do not want another family to go through what we have. They damaged our existing house so much we had to move out in fear of the ceiling caving in on us and our baby, now they are trying to pull short cuts on "fixing" it. The only positive was the sales guy turned up on time and from there it went downhill. Strongly warn people not to use this company as I wouldn't want anyone to experience what we have. We have sought extensive advice and employed our own building surveyor so we arent even being fussy customers just expecting things at code. No one at head office seemed to care either that they'd lost several jobs by enquiring friends and neighbors looking to do the same.

Do not use this "company", after contract signing we have endured an extremely stressful time due to complete disrespect and gross incompetence. We were told we could live there during the build but they damaged our existing home so much we (my husband and toddler) had to move out. Our project manager never responded to any of our emails and addressed our concerns just bungled his way through. 4 months over expected completion date. Do not use this company.

I would like to say that our experience with the Extension Factory was 'all good' From start to finish the people that worked on our project were without exception professional, polite and simply a delight to have in our home. Their expertise, advice and guidance were of enormous help and their workmanship of a high standard. You only have to look at the finished product to appreciate the skill and care that was taken by all of the tradies who contributed to bringing our vision to life. We would like to thank everyone involved from Michael (first contact & co designer) Paul & Michael (project managers) Dale & Max (carpenters) Stefan (plasterer) Jay (electrician) Peter (the staircase Master) the fabulous roofing crew our tiler our plumbers, they were all SO good, a real credit to the company and an asset on any build. Thanks to Alex for his help in the early stages of organising everything and last but by no means least to Angela who worked tirelessly in the office to keep all that paperwork up to date. It has been an incredibly busy and challenging journey but we are absolutely over the moon with the finished product, certainly worth the trip.

We had a major renovation by this company. We had a few builders in for quotes but these were the only ones who seemed to listen or understand that we would be living in the house with two small children and that our lives needed to go on throughout the renovation. The whole extension took 3 months and the results were fantastic. Only had one tradie we were unhappy with so spoke to the building manager and the next day we had a new and very competent electrician assigned to us. Great experience. Couldn't recommend this company enough.

I had wanted to fix my home a few months ago and hired Extension Factory due to their extensive experience in the field. I'm glad to say that they lived up to their word and all of the work they done was done professionally and with minimal fuss. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good contractor
