Large bookstore in town with a café on the top floor. My girlfriends and I have come here a few times for lunch and the food is great with generous portions. A nice place to relax with a good book.

A good ol' face lift is over due to give this place a fresh vibe to keep up with its competitors. I felt as though it was comparable with a dingy school library experience.

I love buying books, and bookstores in the city tend to have greater range. This place had multiple different versions of the SAME book, so I'm happy.

Recently I joined the Dymocks loyalty program and have found it to be great value. I am a devoted reader who had, until I recently started working in the CBD, haunted Borders. The service in the city store though is amazing - there is always someone to help, not hiding behind the counter, and the selection, offers and competitions are great and come regularly to my email. My latest purchase came with a vintage carrybag.

I enjoyed browsing through the books in this store. The building is beautiful, and I also enjoyed a coffee and cake at the coffee shop. I admit that the staff are somewhat complacent and you have to try and "catch" one to make an enquiry. I'm not too sure about the kids section being in the basement, though.

It is so sad to see what this shop has become. It used to be the high point of any trip to Sydney, the biggest and the best bookstore in the Southern Hemisphere, but new management a couple of years ago has run this place into the ground. The staff are lazy and know nothing about the books - most of them are fresh faced teens who only read magazines. For its flag ship store, Dymocks should put greater care into selecting and training their staff.

I really like using Dymocks as my primary book supply shop. They have great and easy categories, great prices, and i really like the Dymocks Booklovers Program that they have available for people who love to read.

Excellent prices and an overwhelming range of books which guarantees you will find what you are looking for. I have never walked in to the store and come out not purchasing a good book.
