This store is HUGE it has a great range of books and helpful staff who seem to be able to point you to a good read everytime! :D
Dymocks is my favourite bookstore; they stock a great range of books and great friendly service. Books are a bit pricey but the store isn't too busy so its easier to make selections. They stock books that other department shops don't usually stock
Approximate cost: $20
This is my fave bookshop in the city because it's got a great range but isn't as busy and loud as Borders. The only problem is the constant offers of assistance from the staff, once I was asked if I needed any help 5 times! I think that's a bit excessive but on the other hand I guess it's better than Myer where you practically have to go on a safari to find a sales assistant.
Dymocks has a nice of range of books for different age groups and demographics. The staff are generally friendly, however, I find the shop has a closed-in, almost claustrophobic feel about it. This store also tends to stock mostly popular, well-heard of books, and as such lacks books from a wide range of Australian authors.
