i have purchased many books from them over many years,i have never had any trouble what so ever,but the last book i purchased,i seen in big w for 3 times less then what i paid Dymocks for,so i have to do my research in future....
have brought books mainly for gifts through Dymocks,i have never had a problem and postage has always been spot on.
AVOID!! Left me in the lurch 3 days before Xmas! Placed online order for book 28 Nov (allowing a whole month for delivery), book was shown as in stock. Week later no order confirmation had come through, but my money had been taken. Emailed them. Said they'd re do the order for me. Week later, still no order confirmation. Emailed again. Said again they would place the order again. 4 days later, order finally placed. Then they email me saying that it book is out of stock, they had to order from supplier, and it will arrive to them 3 days before Xmas! Barely leaving enough time for it to be delivered to me in time for Xmas. I asked if they could send it express post to make up for their mistake...nope, they won't do that. THEN, 3 days before Xmas they email me saying my order has been CANCELLED!! as is out of stock!! I'm working every day until Xmas and won't have the opportunity to get another gift for the person the book was intended for. Dymocks screwed me. Nothing more than a generic email me telling me my order had been cancelled. No apology. Nothing. Now lets see how long it takes to get my refund. Never again Dymocks.

I ordered 6 books for my daughter from them on 30 Jan primarily because they were in stock so expected reasonable delivery timeframe and was happy with their order confirmation email stating shipping on 4th Feb. On 6th Feb online account then changed to say delivery on 6th Feb. It is now 9th Feb and online stil says 6th feb. No response to online inquiry despite the "we will respond in 24 hours". Pathetic service. Never again. I wonder if they simply order from overseas when you place an order, in which case, better off ordering from overseas in future i think.

General reason why books are going out. they are too expensive. However, as an online store goes, it is good, and is better then most. Seems to never have the things i want in stock however.

The online store makes life so much easier if you already know what book you are interested in. I purchased a heap of school books with a voucher and was extremely happy with delivery and service.
its great to have somewhere to get new, hard copy books these days. they are affordable, have a great range, and are easily contacted. very good website/store!

Great friendly customer service served with a smile. Staff were very helpful to help me find the book i was looking for. They had fairly reasonable prices and a large variety of books that are hard to find.

I love Dymocks online stor, it dosn't matter where you are the service is fantastic, you will have you books faster than you would have ever imagined. I have never had any problems with this buisness and am ver very impressed.
I recently ordered three Harry Potter Books for my son. I was very impressed with the service as two of the books were not available straight away but they kept me informed on progress and was very pleased when I received a phone call asking if I would be willing to accept a hardcover version of one of the books at the same price as the paperback I had ordered. Nothing like value for money.

I found their prices significantly cheaper than their local bookstores. And of course, they have a better range. Their postage prices are very reasonable and the books are delivered to your door.
