I have been to see one other gyno first, a Dr Bella Ajayaglu, and found her quite abrupt and not thorough enough when it came to discussion on medication on my depression medication. I left her and was referred to Dr John How for my PCOS (poly cystic ovaries syndrome) and not being able to get pregnant. I have only been once so far, and this was to his office at Spotswood. I found him quite pleasant with a good bedside manner. He is open to discussion on anything and everything. I will update as I go.
I was referred to Dr John How by my local GP during my first pregnancy. I found him to be very professional & highly competent.
I had a couple of incidents where I needed to call him urgently & both times he called back & arranged to see me quickly. Then, during a difficult labour, he was always one step ahead & ensured a safe delivery.
The personal care continued with my second child, and I would have absolutely no hesitation seeing him again, should we have a third.
I believe he has offices in Werribee and Spotswood.
Approximate cost: $100 per visit (rebateable)
For my second child, I was referred to another doctor, but there was a four month wait. Dr How was able to fit me in almost immediately. When I told him my due date, he advised he would be away then and gave me the option of choosing another doctor, but I declined.
Dr How was great. His bedside manner and professionalism were outstanding. Answered any questions I had, and always made me, my husband and other child feel welcome and at ease.
