member for close to 8 years I was eternally grateful when I received an invoice recently for $250 for my mother In Laws wake. When a friend went to pay she was told it was $1,000 as per the package we chose. My wife and I constantly being harrassed for the remain $750 which I am yet to sight an invoice for.
I attended a coach training day on Tuesday and signed in as a guest no problem, there all day for training and left nothing said.
Last night I attend at my wife assistance and sign in as a guest of hers. 1 hour later as I go to start a coffee bought by my wife I am asked to leave by the very manager who weeks earlier tried to charge me $1,000 for the above mentioned wake with out me receiving an invoice, claim that my member ship has been suspended......but hang on I signed in as a guest of a member not as a member!
Let's start with the good.
The staff are lovely
They have a play room
The food is on the expensive side for a club but very nice when it's nice. Risotto is good, fish is always lovely and the kids meals are nice.
Less good
The play room isn't in great, the ball pit is good, TV is on abc kids, not bad. there are paid games so bring change and prepare to be nagged by your kids. The other toys and the little tables and chairs aren't in good repair or particularly clean
The food is usually good but their pizza is ordinary and their ice-cream Sunday is ice cream with cheap topping and canned whipped cream in a beer glass, looks and tastes bad.
We will go back as its a good place for a family group.
Really great club, easy to find them at convenient location. My kids also live to be there where whole family can enjoy and spend the time. The food was good
Great fantastic venue that is continually expanding. They have pokies, roulette (computerised), snooker, and a few restaurants/bars (more coming in the current expansion). Based on the meals in the Bistro, they care quite average in quality though you might expect a bit more with the amount you pay for some of the dishes. It's great for kids as they have a playground for you to have a break. I love the theme they sometimes have such as Italian week, Great Britain week, etc. They do many raffles, bingos, etc. I'll have to come back and make another review once the expansion is complete as they have plans to include a fitness centre, additional restaurants (including an Italian which I cannot wait to try!) and much more. Make sure you make a booking for big days like Mothers Day and Fathers Day.
Approximate cost: $14

The staffs are always nice to customers. Very good ambiance, gives a relaxing environment for dining. It is so much better after renovation. The food are very fresh you can taste it! But the price is a bit high, e.g a bowl of wedges is 7.50, not a really big bowl, somehow the bowl has gone even smaller.
Approximate cost: $14
The place has been newly renovated - the entrance almost feels like a hotel lobby! Very impressed.
I came here to eat on my partner's birthday. On your birthday, they give you $20 credit to spend at any of their stores. At the cafe, the fish and chips seems to be their signature dish. It's just $12 the last time I went (Sept 2009). The serving is quite small but it's very tasty. The salads are quite dry and bland but I guess it helps balance out the salty chips.
There is quite a long waiting period (up to 30-40 minutes) just for fish and chips or a chicken schnitzel during lunch hour. It also gets quite noisy during this hour too. Otherwise, outside of this hour, the ambience is quite calm and relaxing. Nice seating area (soft cushions!!) at the dining area. :)
Other dishes are quite overpriced and don't taste that great seeing how much you paid for it either. The cafe selection (cakes, coffees etc) is also very expensive. (more than 6-7$ for cake slices)
There is a chinese restaurant upstairs, but I've never been here. Will try it soon.
Approximate cost: $15
