I wasn't impressed with Dickson Dumpling House, I had read reviews saying how great this place was and I was disappointed. The food was pretty average and the dumplings were too.
I, like my son, do love a good dumpling. So when a place calls itself a Dumpling House, I form some expectations. Unfortunately, this place didn't meet those expectations - while the service was fast, the quality of the meals was a little to be desired - maybe it was what we ordered, and while some of the dishes were good, those that were fried were absolutely saturated in oil... I haven't ruled out a return visit to give this place the benefit of the doubt... if you have a specific dumpling craving, it is probably a good contender if you're in Canberra.

Love it here! The food is delicious, and the dumplings are fantastic. I find the mains a little oily, but that's personal preference. I know I'll be coming back - if only to get my hands on more dumplings!
This place has become one of the regular places I eat, anyone I go out to dinner with its like "Hey lets go to Dumpling House!" The reason being is because the food is great, the service is fast and the prices are good. Definitely a place to go for a nice night out.
