Only place in Brighton open until really late Friday and Saturday nights. I would come here for a can of coke but that’s about it. Staff turnover is very high never see the same people working. Cakes in the cabinet look good but in my experience are not fresh
Overrated and not that great.... I don't go here unless I am desperate for a coffee late at night and nothing else is open
Last time I went here I had a very disappointing experience. The cake I ordered was so stale I couldn't eat it and it had a small hair on top. Usually I'm not so fussy but when you're paying $6 for a tiny little cheesecake, it kinda puts you off.
Really crappy experience. Haven't been back since then
I went to Dendy Deli last night with a mate for coffee and I was very disappointed.
I bought a tiny cheesecake that was $6.50! I had the smallest bite and realised it was stale and hard.
Very poor.
Dendy Deli works well as it has a bit of everything and is open until late every night of the week. The prices are reasonable as well. Last time I was there I had the omelette, which was suprisingly very good. They also have a decent selection of wines too. The baked cheesecake is impressive and their coffees are good quality.
Service isn't fantastic but I suspect they have a high turnover of staff as they are always advertising for new staff.
Great place to catch up with the girls. It is always busy though. Sometimes a bit hard to get a table. A good local café. Service is a bit slow though.
We come here so often. It's busy no matter what time of the day. The lunch and dinner menus are similar and is very tasty. It's value for money. But you can also just come for coffee and cake. We do that a lot of the times when it comes to catch up wi the girls. Love the flavoured hot chocolates here. Oh and also the lemon tart. Wowza. Highly recommend.
I've been to Dendy Deli a few times and every time the service has been horrible. Often you have to seat yourself, and then you are waiting 5-10 minutes for a menu and then another 10mins to order drinks. They have a good selection of cakes and drinks but you would think with the number of staff they have on duty, that some would be working. I have complained to the manager before about the lack of service and nothing has changed as he seemed not to care. There are so many better cafes to grab a drink or feed at before you head to the movies there.
I think what makes this place so special is that its the best place to eat out with friends if you in the local area having fun. Whether your just shopping or just came out of the cinema's its so conveniently located. The portions are very generous, the food is okay, but the best part is the atmosphere of the restaurant.
loved this place! great location, great food, good value for money. The staff are satisfactory. The best thing about this place are the hours, open til late every night, and by late can be up to 3am!
Approximate cost: $20
Meh. Good location - near the movies. Good looking restaurant, good vibe. However, the food and the service are not so good.
Relaxed atmosphere and staff very switched on. They have the best Berry cheesecake in the world!
Approximate cost: $18.00
I went here because my mum (who is elderly and lives in the area) likes it for its convenient location and simple foods. She generally only has light snacks there and prefers her food to be on the bland side, She convinced me to come there with her for a meal, but I found the dishes were really very, very average in quality and quite over-priced. I certainly wouldn't be going back there myself.
Approximate cost: $25.00
Everything about this place is average. The food is alright but nothing special, the staff are friendly however the place can get packed and is therefore often slow, and the prices are what you would expect from a Church street feed. Wouldn't go back there anytime soon.
The staff here are lovely. I've been going here for years. The food is a bit overpriced, but it's brighton. The food is lovely - toasted croissant with jam - yum! Lots of seating and the food comes out quickly.
Always seem to meet people at Dendy because everyone wants to meet there. Why it's still popular I do not know. Food & service is great just a major rip off. Majorly expensive
Approximate cost: $25
Dendy Deli is always very busy, so sometimes the staff are very busy, but the food always arrives at the right time. The food is delicious, they have a nice range to pick from, and I love the freshly squeezed juices. The prices are about average, this is a great place to have lunch or breakfast, and it's very close to the movies so it's great for a snack.
i like going to dendy deli for either lunch or more so a coffee and cake before a movie at the palace movies. the staff are very quick and friendly and the food quality is high. overall very good
It's been recently renovated, and made into more of a large European style eatery. It's opened it up considerably, a great improvement. Loved all the food, fresh salads and yummy cakes, coffees/teas are great, and now there bar is situated in a large island in the centre of the large eatery. Great for a snack anytime or a meal, or merely a catch-up with friends before or after the movies.
I have been at the dendy deli before around 3 weeks ago it was great food and Service was excellent. I whent out last night to the movies with friends at Dendy Cinemas. After we whent to the dendy deli it has been renovated. It looks so good and it is now open 24hours friday and saturday. The Atmosphere is perfect
Spectacular, great service, very good price and unbeatable food. waiters are very helpful and always happy. A very friendly and warm family environment.
Approximate cost: $17
Expensive food with no atmosphere or service
I remember going to Dendy Deli as a kid growing up in the Bayside area and it was known as one of the best cafe's in the area. I returned there recently with my kids for lunch. The prices are astronomical for quite average food, no gourmet here. The kids menu had nothing under $10! Also the owner is rude and arrogant. I think they are just complacent because they've been there so long and the only competition is The Pantry, although there are now a few other alternatives opening up, Thank god!
Approximate cost: $16
I think brad has a share in the Pantry
Dendy Deli is the best restaurant in brighton.
I am joking
