Darrons Seafood

I've been going to Darrons for years now and they never fail to impress. The food is fairly prompt given the fact they usually have at least 10 people waiting in the busy peaks. There is plenty of variety where the fish is always fresh and at some of the best prices on the coast. Great place to feed a big family for cheap. They are extraordinarily good at catering to my quirky meal choices (e.g. scallop roll) without any fuss. I've also found they always supplement your order with some extras (e.g. extra piece of fish or another scallop) which is just great customer service. Service is always polite and efficient. Definitely recommend going there for family night takeaway. There is seats outside but they are rarely available and close to the busy main road.

These guys have recently improved by accepting credit card whereas before it was cash only which I found tricky as I didn't always carry cash. So good on them for improving for the customers sake. We go there more now because of it. The prices are great, the fish size is very generous and they can be grilled or battered - whatever you prefer and there is no extra cost for either. Parking can be a little tricky if there are no spaces left on the main road but you can turn left just after the shop and nip down Ghersi Ave and park directly behind the shop itself where there is lots of parking and a little laneway that you can walk up to go back to the front of the shop. The chips are nice and we love the freebie lemon segments that come with it too.
