Our Dad only ever wanted a cremation without a "funeral service" as such. We wanted to stick with his wishes although it was a little bit difficult to forego a traditional farewell. Crane Funerals suggested we could write letters to our Dad, and the Grandkids drew some paintings etc, and we were able to get them into the coffin with Dad as our personal farewell to him. The staff who assisted us were all amazing, and made a difficult time a bit easier to bear. Highly recommended.

The team at Crane Funerals helped us recently celebrate our Mum's long life with a small intimate funeral at Lilydale Cemetery. Damian arranged everything just as we wanted. From picking Mum up, to allowing us the time to make decisions, and then delivering everything perfectly on the day, all the staff were so supporting and we would highly recommend Crane Funerals.

Great caring service. Crane Funerals delivered a lovely service recently for our son who was taken from us suddenly in an accident. Damian arranged everything regarding the TAC funeral paperwork etc, and the service was excellent before, at, and after the funeral. Recently we had a sudden loss in our family with a vehicle accident. It was one of the most difficult times we have ever faced. We were advised that there was TAC funeral coverage that we could apply for, but we weren't sure of how to do everything, especially given our grief clouding our minds. We contacted a few funeral directors and Damian and Crane Funerals was our choice. Everything from the start was made as easy as possible, and they handled the whole TAC funeral application for us. we had prepaid for my fathers funeral. The costs were very reasonable, One phone call to Damian and the wheels were set in motion, He was very understanding and patient with us as we tried to put together content for the Service which was to be live streamed due to Covid restrictions.
He was available to chat at any time of the day and the Service went well despite the obstacles.

We recently found ourselves looking for Funeral Directors for my Dad's Funeral. We went to the big names but we didn't feel a connection. We met with Damian and felt instantly that Crane Funerals would be the right people. Damian was so genuine and listened to everything that we said with patience and sincerity.
The service was a continuation of this. At no time did Crane take over, they were there when we needed them and then blended into the background when we didn't. Having been to many Funeral services where the Directors are quite prominent during the service, the way Crane Funeral handled our service was exactly what we were looking for. I'm not sure whether other Funeral Directors follow up after the service but Damian certainly did.
We had a few requests after the Funeral and Damian was more than happy to help us. As difficult as the day was, my Dad would have loved his Farewell and we say thanks to Crane for getting us through one of the many difficult stages of losing someone.

We prepaid for my parents funerals 2 years ago. We chose Cranes based on reviews, and after meeting Damien when he came to discuss options at my parents house.
When mum passed away recently we called Damien and it was so reassuring to have him advising us and taking care of arrangements at a very difficult time. As you are sitting here reading this, you may be wondering how on Earth to cope with a death in your family too. This is the position my family found ourselves in when we lost our sister. We still think of how much peace of mind we lost finding it so hard to make a decision. Imagine how much easier it is, and how much better you’ll feel when you find a Funeral Director who just gets it. We hadn’t been to a lot of funerals as a family, but could see that there were a lot of options available. My mother feels that you get what you pay for, and we were leaning towards a large well known Company we’d been referred to. That was when we happened across Crane Funerals. We were so glad we made the call. From the first contact the team helped us so much. They spent the time to get to know us and we knew they genuinely felt for our situation. We didn’t feel this same ‘connection’ with the larger Company we talked to, which really was important to us. Although we hadn’t heard of Crane Funerals before using their services, we were so glad we did. In the event of needing more funeral assistance in the future, our family will not hesitate to use Crane Funerals.

My brother died recently. His passing was sudden and very difficult for us. Crane Funerals helped us arrange his funeral. Many people are confused and just lost when it comes to arranging a funeral. Damian and his team made things so much easier to understand and handle. The funeral and burial on the day was just as we asked for. The music, the booklets, and the Celebrant Crane Funerals chose was great for our family too. Loss is very hard - the choice of funeral director is easy - we wouldn’t use anyone but Crane Funerals after how much they helped us. Crane Funerals helped us arrange all the grave/burial details and costs also.

In fact, all they did was first rate - nothing lacking at all. Crane Funerals will be arranging our pre-paid funerals soon. We want to make sure we too can be sent off as we would like to be. We thoroughly recommend this Company to anyone who has suffered a loss; or if preparing for your own farewell.
