From head to toe, this place is sustainability / Eco-conscious. The food is organic, locally sourced and the paper in the loo is 100% green. Phenomenal leadership in this area.
Marrickville is a great little part of the Inner West, chocked with great spots for good food, but most places are tired and dusty to look at, and the whole area feels grotty during the day.
This place is a welcome exception. It's clean, it's tidy, warm and welcoming. The people know their stuff and thankfully are just there to smile and give good service.
The coffee is brilliant, every time, no matter who serves you.
It has a cafe during the day until about 3:30pm. The snacks are delicious.
If you want to treat yourself to a phenomenal meal, there is an evening dinner menu Thurs, Fri, Sat. The goat stew melted in my mouth and it was ordered, served and presented like occurs in a chefs hat restaurant.
Dessert looks expensive - $18 - but it is two generous, adult servings and worth every mouthful.
Few places are like this, even in the heart of Sydney. I reccomend you treat yourself
