Daikin aircon home split system deep cleaning and maintainance

The business referred to located in Springvale, Victoria. There appears to be business with confusingly same name listed.

Here is my experience:

Requested deep cleaning and maintaince service for one Daikin split aircon of my apartment, quote for the job is $500, jobs was booked with nil issues. However, what disappointed me was they send a newly arrived overseas technician to conduct the job who arrived only 3 weeks ago, the company didn’t provide him with proper training and send him out to do the jobs without any senior to supervise, the technician arrived 2 hours late, drove in a renting van from budget direct, carried insufficient tools, quote from the technician “the company didn’t provide any tools”, the cleaning gadget brought by technician is just a bottle of cleasing form, that was it, the other was his private drinking bottle, as the technician try to use disposable drinking bottle filled with some tap water to rinse out the form that’s been sprayed on the coils of the aircon, only he realized that I have a TV sitting directly under the aircon, the tap water he sprayed onto coils dripped down to the wooden floor and infiltrates into TV sitting right under, he didn’t bring any equipment to prevent the rinsing water from damaging my TV and wooden floor. After he realized can’t use bottle of water to rinse out the foam from coils, then he use disposable wipe to wipe some foam off the front coils where he can reach, the remaining foam per his statement will air dry on its own, nil need to worry. I have also contacted service department, spoke to their incharge, confirmed just foaming to coils as deep cleaning, different service personnel use different equipment, some use brush to brush off foam, some use wipes.

For any personnel who works in the field, does it sound normal to you all with the kind of services that I received.
——————————————————————————————-

UPDATE:

The business in charge personally reached out and apologized for the experience that I received from its new employee, also provided me full refund of the payment that I made.

From this aspect, I trust it is still considered to be a reliable business who values the quality of work it provides to its customers.

The service department manager reached out after seeing the review, apologized for the poor experience and services provided by its new employee, provided full refund. The kind of gesture does provide the impression that the business does value the quality of work it provide to the customer, from this aspect, the experience that I received might be singular event, the business in general considered to be reliable.

Yesterday I had a split system installed. I was amazed at the proficiency of the electrician (Martin) and plummers. Martin left the place spotless I would highly recommend them.

I wish I could give a zero rating!
This company puts peoples lives at risk! DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES WITH COLDFLOW!
I had a Daikin split system installed only 2months ago and all units suddenly stopped working due to a “refrigerant shortage” system error (unlikely to happen so soon after installation UNLESS the installers made a big mistake!)
The website claims they provide 24/7 emergency repairs (this is a total lie, this service does not exist!). You cant even get through to anyone when you try to call the company (voicemail is always full) nor do they respond to emails! You are left to deal with the heat on your own as Coldflow simply do not care!!

We have used Coldflow to install our evaporative cooling system 7 years ago and the system is still going strong. So this time we thought we want to use them again. Again, they didn't let us down, Daniel had been great with the quotation, very responsive and fast. Adam and Nick are fantastic with their work, very professional and they have done a good job, every thing is installed perfectly. They didn't cut corner, and so careful with their job too. I am so glad I put my trust on them again. Highly recommended!!

I just have Cold Flow to clean my duct system (both heating and cooling) and I am just so happy with the services provided by Cold Flow. From making appointment to job completed. Great communications and good price. Matt is extremely polite, on time, and very patient with all my questions. He makes sure everything is right and I am happy with the job that he has done before he left. I trust when the employer is nice there come with happy employee! Matt is very proud of Cold Flow so do I as a customer too! So thank you Cold Flow again! From installing my air conditioning unit to cleaning! Highly recommended!

the cooling made a huge difference this summer. Had an evap cooler installer, installed upstairs, and a split system installed down stairs. it's such a relief as it was a hot and humid summer - i think Coldflow are a good company to deal with

Terrible Customer Service, Would not recommend to anyone!

The installers left live electrical wires outside where children play. Sales rep didn't care and stopped taking my calls. The electrician we called was horrified that the wires were left in that state by ColdFlow and said we were so fortunate no one was injured. We are having issues with cooling post installation however again the sales rep won't take my calls and has referred me to someone else whose name he won't supply and who I have never heard back from. Such poor form ColdFlow!

Do yourself a favour, and stay clear of this organisation, they are rude, arrogant and unwilling to take responsibility for their vendor relationships.

When you question their integrity they get their backs up, and its only once you forward your complaint to Consumer Affairs and seek legal action against them to they even start to get the ball moving.

If I had my time over again I would have gone with [Redacted alternate business] at a slightly higher price and saved myself all the time and stress in dealing with Coldflow and Seeley International.

This has to be one of the worst organisations that I have dealt with, and the fact they try and shift blame even after a call to the ACCC has clearly stated that both Coldflow and Seeley International have broken the law.

Wouldn't recommend at all. I purchased system from Coldfliw because they could install within 2 weeks. But on day of install electrician couldn't come - too many called in sick that apparently. Second appointment also cancelled so I'm still waiting for air con. Service terrible - keep getting told I'll get a call back which doesn't happen and service people rude and unapologetic. Also turned out the system they sold me couldn't be installed without a pump - an extra $500 for me to pay - but this wasn't identified when they came to give a quote. Overall very disappointing.

Well, I am shocked!
I have never experienced such a 'matter of fact' response from a business in all my life. To be told that the company is "not interested in performing some works on my existing central heating system, because something may go wrong" is the most amazing response I have ever received! When I ask to speak with someone else I am informed "this is what the General Manager said" what sort of a response is that? Even after informing the caller from ColdFlow that the Technical Services Manager from the Manufacturer Seeley has been out and inspected the relatively new unit and stated the alterations to my system can be done with ease, I am informed "they are not interested"!! With that sort of attitude and that I had to follow up on my initial email to their company with a secondary one to elicit a response I'd be thinking twice about using or recommending ColdFlow for anything. I guess you reap what you sow!
I am still reeling in disbelief at this response from Coldflow
Go elsewhere if you're wanting service

I had an evaporative air con fitted by this company (Cold flow Air and Heating of Springvale Victoria) in January 2017. The air con is working well. However the professionalism of the tradesmen leaves a lot to be desired.Rubbish was left in the roof space and in the garden. Our alarm system was disconnected.
During the fitting process the bullnose roofing was badly damaged. This wasn't noticed until it rained, some two to three weeks later when the roof leaked, flooding the decking below.
Since this time numouous phone calls to the warranty department have been made. Numouous visits by tradesmen have been made to rectify the issue.
Today's effort is a complete botch up
I asked that a licensed roof plummer be sent to fix the problem. The roof is a traditional bull nose with corregated sheeting. Today two guys turned up and placed a large flat sheet of colour bond sheeting over the leaking area. I could have done a better job myself. I'm 72.
Totally unacceptable.
I am now looking at taking this issue further. To court if necessary.
If you are considering having an aircon fitted stay away from this company at all costs.
My experience seems to me to be. They have my money. Now they don't want to know.

These chumps left us without air conditioning 2 years running due to incompetence and poor technicians. They still charged us mind you. And I had to harass the hell out of the residential service team each time I wanted them to come out again. Even when we paid for a brand new system they gave us problems. You might ask why we chose them for a new system when we were already unhappy with their service. My husbands choice not mine. He said they would improve. They didnt!!!

I had evaporative air cooling installed. My installation was not standard as I had a flat roof, so metal ducting was required. It required ColdFlow to do a design to determine how much metal ducting was needed.
I had problems getting an install date. The ColdFlow salesman told me normally it takes 7 days to install a normal setup, but as mine was different, it would add an extra week because there would be a design phase. Three weeks after I paid the deposit, I still didn't have an install date. I rang ColdFlow and was put through to the Design team. They told me they need to get someone out the warehouse to see if they enough ducting (what? they don't have a computerised warehouse system?), and they'd call me back. 2 days later, still no call, so I call again. Once again, they wanted to call me back, but this time I stood my ground and waited on line while they checked. I got my install date – 11th December.
Come 11th December, and the installer calls out. Turns out the design wasn't right, and there wasn't enough metal ducting. They'd call out 16th December.
16th December, and it's a hot day, but the 2 installers worked on a stinking hot roof and installed the unit (and 3 vents inside) in about 5 hours. All good, and the cooling came in handy.
18th December, it rained. It leaked through the kitchen vent along the ceiling. Rang ColdFlow, and they like to get the original installer out to fix the work. I was told the installer would call me on Saturday. No call. I rang ColdFlow again, and again they said they rang the installer – this is the Christmas week – and told me the installer would call me. No call. Next day, I called ColdFlow again. This time, I do get a call, and the installer calls out on Christmas Eve and silicons some of the joins in the metal ducting.
There's 2 parts that make me angry – that the design was done incorrectly by head office, so it delayed my install. The other part is I had no follow-up from ColdFlow “Service Under Warranty and Complaints” department to see if the installer had contacted me (so I needed to call them), and no call since then to see if my leak has been fixed or any damage to my ceiling.

Thank you to Matt Cavey, I am currently sitting in my lounge room and I'm freezing thanks to my new my evap cooling. I had 4 companies come over and provide a quote but I liked Matt and Coldflow the best. Not only were they offering the best product but Matt explained things well and was very competitive with price and I'll be passing his number on to anyone I can. I did my research and read plenty of positive reviews, negative ones sounded like problems out of Coldflow's control. I also found the installers professional and loved that they did everything possible to prevent making a mess inside my house and the install looks neat. I didn't catch all of their names but the whole crew did a great job and my air con is running great. I've had numerous trades people over to do work at my house but these guys definitely stood out. A lot of trades companies either don't respond to your enquiry or don't turn up on time but I was impressed with Coldflow and I'll be calling Matt Cavey to get air con installed at my next house :-)

We have a split system installed a couple of years back. They gave us a good price . Last summer it was useless. So we got it serviced before summer arrived this year. They found the it had not been installed correctly and there had been a gas leak. Fortunately (yes usually a week out of warranty) it is still under warranty. Once I made contact with Coldflow and spoke with Chris they made an appointment for the very next day. Fixed the next day.

We had a multi-head split-system air conditioning installed. The process was very professional. There was an initial evaluation and quote and that was very pleasant. A few days later the system was installed and everything went smoothly. The workmen were very competent and pleasant. And the price was very competitive relative to the other quote we received.
