Great for lovers of chocolate, awesome that they have vegan options now too. haven't been many times as it does feel like somewhat of a novelty cafe.

I went here for a high tea for a bridal shower. The food and service was fantastic. One of the women attending was gluten free and the staff always talked through what was on each serving stand and let her know which foods she could eat. For a high tea it was also very affordable and we got champagne on arrival. We were out the back in the courtyard and it was quite pleasant even though it was quite a warm day. Overall it was a very enjoyable afternoon and I would quite happily return to try more of their food!

We did a high tea here, and the staff were lovely, the service was prompt and the food was reasonably good. One of the nicer of these types of places on Darby St

High tea? Were the macarons up to scratch? Love my macarons!

Not a fan of macarons myself, and they weren't part of the high tea if I recall correctly.

I organised a ladies day out here after seeing it advertised! Yum, yum...we ordered platters of fruit, banana bread, marshmallows, and pastries serves with pots of chocolate and caramel sauces. It was delicious. The marshmallows are made on the premises along with the chocolate! My coffee was smooth and rich in flavour presented with a chocolate coffee bean on the spoon. We admired the hand made chocolates for sale in the store and the eclectic pieces around the wooden walls. The front windows opened like doors so we could watch people passing by. Staff were clean and well presented and looked after us perfectly. I enjoyed my afternoon their immensely and decided to bring my teenage girls as a treat two weeks later at night. We were unable to get a seat without a booking and can understand why! I will return for sure....but make a booking....word is out...terrific!

You can normally just walk in without a booking for lunch or breakfast but I'd definitely recommend a booking for dinner (like you've discovered!)

Loved every meal I have had there. Will always recommend it to others. Their Coco Monde Bliss dessert is to die for. Having an all day breakfast is an awesome idea, as I can go in anytime and order their Spanish Eggs Benedict.

I love going to coco monde for dinner, dessert or just for drinks. They now offer a delicious range of cocktails along with yummy main meals plus there wonderful desserts selection. All their food is well presented and very generous portion sizes. The staff there are fantastic, so friendly and always try to fit people in even if it means rearranging tables etc to accommodate people. Their range of hot chocolates is second to none! I recommend it to anybody looking for a place to eat in newcastle!

Ahhhh-mazing!! Four of us went to Coco Monde on a Saturday night & all four of us were extremely happy!! We each had a hot drink & shared 2 desserts between us & everything was absolutely delicious! The presentation of the desserts was amazing. All other desserts at tables around us looked equally good, I had major food envy! I would definitely go back to try the main meals & try other desserts. Cosy atmosphere, was very busy while we were there, I recommend to book in advance. As soon as we got up to leave four other people pounced on our table. Fantastic experience, will definitely be back!!

Coco Monde has a variety of unique hot and cold drinks, and a huge variety of lovely foods to choose from. However, when my girlfriend and I ordered our drinks, only one of them ended up coming to our table. We just asked them to take it off the bill and they did. We still weren't very pleased with that so we ended up sharing the one drink. Regardless of what happened, it still was a very nice drink. There are a few waiters who could use hearing aids but other than that a great place to chill and have a nice drink.

Mmmmmmmm chocolate! Very yummy food here, but very rich and decadent! I had a white hot chocolate (which wasn't all that hot) and the churros (yum!!!). They also have savoury meals like salads and sandwiches and mini pizzas. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Well worth a visit!

exceptionally decadent. sampled the waffles, crepes, caramel churros (little bit greasy) & had an iced coffee which didnt really taste like coffee & wasnt really cold. everything is very rich but i guess thats to be expected. loved the decor & ambiance. staff were friendly(ish) always busy but a bit OTT for my liking. overall a pretty good experience.
