One of the most comprehensive haberdashery stores I have come across. Whatever you are looking for is probably available here. It's a large store and they stock a massive range of fabrics, including internationals such as Liberty of London. Not the cheapest on the market, but highly recommended.
Clegs is a great place for fabrics, patterns and all your sewing needs. The staff are really helpful and friendly. It is virtually the last fabric shop in the Melbourne CBD. Great place to buy your sewing needs in your lunch time.

Great variety of wools - which I was looking for at the time - but there is also a good range of fabrics and tools for knitting, crochet, etc..
Staff were helpful - the store can seem a bit cluttered, but there is so much variety I imagine it is hard for them to keep it all in the one place!

They stock a wide variety of dress material. I was approached by a friendly sales woman who help me match black silk for this dress I am altering. She was also able to order in material I could not get and I recieved it the next day.
I have been to this shop to get material for my daughters wedding in March, the girl that seved me was the most helpful person I have come across in a long time. She helped me with ideas, and her input was great. Not only did she help with ideas for design but also with colours and mixing of the differt fabrics.
