I always love the foods there. However, I would like to highly recommend their cold dishes and side dishes. Other than taste good in food, they are always a good idea to enrich your dishes on your table at home. To treat myself better, I will usually buy their side dishes for our dinner! How convenient!

Very traditional Taiwanese food! love the deep fried chicken and curry here! So many different side dishes you can choose from, 3.5dollar each! The lunch box portion is huge, add 1 dollar for the sour and spicy soup! super cheap! It is good to buy the take away rather than dine in, very small space and have to squeeze in.

The best Taiwanese food within city. The food is simple but very similar to homemade with reasonable prices therefore I could not resist it. Slurppp.. Chicken and pork chop bentos also cold noodle are worth a try.

Super worth it!!!
This Taiwanese meal comes with bento type. It comes with rice, 1 main dish (I luv the crispy chicken and cold noodle), 2 small dishes. If you order with cold tea or soup, he total only costs yiu $9.50.
With the cold noodle that I like to order, it comes with small dish (to choose from the glass cupboard)... It's also only $9.50
The food are delicious and have generous portion. I went to Taiwan and Cho dumpling food is even better than some of the local food there.

The service though is average only due to long queue and small space (close to UTS and college). I always buy take away which is faster and more convenient for me.

Overall, nice food, super recommended. I'm a regular to this one :)

This is the Taiwanese restaurant that I often have for lunch and dinner! The location is the ground level of Prince plaza, and very close to UTS and haymarket. The main set is normally around 10AUD, add 1 dollar can get you either the sour and spicy soup or green tea. I like the soup a lot, it is hot and with a lot of ingredient in it, include mushroom, tofu, bamboo, carrot and etc. The fried chicken here is very good, and the portion is quite big. They also offer a variety of side dishes, only cost 3.5 each. I like the beef and spicy cucumber! The only thing you need to worried is it will take quite a while to wait for the long queue, so i would suggest you to get take away during the lunch hours!

best taiwanese restaurant in sydney !! used to eat here almost everyday when i was studying at UTS. have try the fried noodle and they offer extra $1 for soup or a drink . nothing can beat that !! alot of small side dishes to choose from..... this place is very small so they always take order before u go in and once u go in , the food will be ready very soon and once u finish ur meal , the bill will come and u need to pay and let another customer come in. i am very impress with their food , quality and the efficiency. every time i come out from there , always with a big smile and a full stomach .

Approximate cost: $10

I totally agree they are so yummy and amazing! They recently opened up another restaurant in Market City on the first level- it is so much less crowded!

I must say, Cho Dumpling king never has failed to impress me. I come here around monthly and every time it is a delicious taste of authentic Taiwanese food. They also do delicious bubble tea in which you can add custard or grass jelly!
Recently they were even featured in timeout sydney for cheap eats:

This is definitely a must for any sydney sider - there are delicious dishes for everyone, from tofu to cold noodles! I highly recommend both!

Great authentic food with a relatively low-cost menu, so you can't complain! Always very popular/on the crowded side, so be prepared to settle for takeaway during peak lunch hours!

Yes I totally agree- there is a reason why there is a huge line outside at lunch time!

THe place is always crowded and I've never seen a day when they are not busy. Sometimes you have to wait a while for takeaway meals/drinks but it is definately worth it!

Highly recommend their bubble tea- or you can request a special custard instead of bubbles!

They have the best Taiwanese food I have ever had- I have been a loyal customer for more than 10 years! The food is delicious and the drinks are refreshing- especially the bubble tea. The food is very fresh and I have talked to the owner of the restaurant- they import exquisite ingredients. I was complimenting one of their potato dishes and was surprised to find they use Japanese mayonnaise! The quality is great and you will definitely be satisfied.

True Taiwanese delicacy compared to other so-called Taiwanese shops in China town. Remember to top up for a black or green tea for an extra $1. Can be busy and cramped so be prepared or order take-away. You cannot sit there and chat for long, but a good place for valued dining. The salty deep fried chicken is a darling to many Taiwanese-born.

Definitely value for money, it's good really good and food true to the taiwanese markets and stalls. if you are low in the cash department come here and grab a couple of containers of ready made food at $3 ea and eat with some rice at home or some yangchun noodles. I often have their food sitting at home for about 3 days in the fridge incase I need them for unexpected guests or just feeling extra lazy. If you order a meal at $7.50+ don't forget to add $0.50 for an upgrade to Taiwanese sweetened black or green tea.

Approximate cost: $3+

The food is just as good takeaway. I do the same thing- get takeaway and pop it in the fridge. When I need a quick meal or am visiting someone, I just bring it along!
